1. Shortevaluation of pitch from experts
After reviewing the feedback from the advert experts, I think that the
presentation wentokaybutthereweresomedefiniteimprovements to bemade
if we were to do this again. I feel that we didn’t make enough eye contact and
engage with the experts enough to make them feel the vibe of our agency and
sell ourselves enough. Thereforein the future it may havebeen beneficial if we
decided to learn off by heart what we were going to say so that we could make
more eye contact with the experts. I feel that in terms of the content we did
quite well, especially the schooladvert. However itcould havebeen improved if
we had decided to add a different method of contact instead of phone number
as this wasn’t the best method they suggested to use.
In terms of targeting each of the adverts at the correct target audience I feel
that we achieved that successfully. However,weshould havepossibly madethe
work clearer on the Powerpoint so that it was more visible to read for the
experts. However overall I think that our advert went okay considering it was
our firsttime doing something like this as a group and if wedid this in the future
I think we would do more pre planning and make surethat it ran more fluently
and engaged with the experts more.
Overall evaluation
As an overall projectI feel that our group did quite well as we all completed our
individual tasks and then combined together well in the group tasks. We feel
that we could have potentially done a bit better if we had used different music
as itcould havepotentially given the adverta bit moreof an impactwhen people
were listening to it. The music that we chose was good as it was quite upbeat
but we used it for both adverts and this made it a bit repetitive and not very
unique. We were happy with the adverts in the end though as we feel that we
did quite well with the resources that were provided.
We’re going to use the expert’s advice to make sure that our script doesn’t
include a telephone number, this is because telephone numbers aren’t as
popular these days and suggested an email address or telephone number as
they’re much more popular. We also got criticised for not having enough
information in our scriptso therefore wefeel it would be appropriateto include
more statistics and facts promoting the sixth form in a positive light so that it
attracts a larger audience to the schools open evenings.
