make a difference to our marketing
TIP 1 - The Click To Call
We have this on all websites.
Instead of this call to action
we should have a benefit call
to action. Like a dentist has
features and benefits. A
feature is get white teeth. A
benefit is feel better about
yourself. So it should say
something like "Make yourself
feel better 503.642.7676"
TIP 2 - Story's -
Always tell a story
Always tell a story in the
beginning of your talk,
training or speech. Pick one
thing to emphasize and
then circle back and bring
up that part of the story at
the end of your talk. It will
help the audience
remember it.
TIP 3 - Story's - the
3 components to a
good story
A good story follows a set
course of events. Usually it is
I . Normal
II. Explosion
III. Back to Normal
TIP 4 - GOOGLE
RANKBRAIN
Google's 3rd machine
learning algorithm. It is an
extension of the hummingbird
update. It presents rich
snippets and answer boxes.
It helps decide which sites
are relevant for position 0
TIP 5 - Natural
Language and Search
We are heading back into
natural language to search.
No more dumbing down our
search terms to find relevant
content. Most searches
contain 3-6 keywords now.
This is a steady upward
trend in the last 2 years since
Google started testing
artificial intelligence in ranking
TIP 6 - Position 0
Rich Snippets or Answer
Boxes make up 20% of the
How do I and What do I
searches. They all comprise
of Tables and Lists. We don't
currently have any of these
on our sites. We can add
them to possibly get into
them and take position 0.
TIP 7 - optimize more pages
This was demonstrated for
PPC but would work with all
pages. Take your highest
traffic pages that have a high
bounce rate and spend time
optimizing the content and
the experience of those
pages. Why do they
bounce? Small corrections to
these pages can produce
huge gains
TIP 8 - BONUS -
REPUTATION MARKETING
This is something that we do
really well but this is the first
time that I have heard it as a
job title. They talked about get
5 stars (a cheaper Dymic) and
how companies are actively
trying to build their reputations
online and the people doing it
are reputation
marketers.Companies should
not do Reputation

  • 3. TIP 2 - Story's - Always tell a story Always tell a story in the beginning of your talk, training or speech. Pick one thing to emphasize and then circle back and bring up that part of the story at the end of your talk. It will help the audience remember it.
  • 4. TIP 3 - Story's - the 3 components to a good story A good story follows a set course of events. Usually it is I . Normal II. Explosion III. Back to Normal
  • 5. TIP 4 - GOOGLE RANKBRAIN Google's 3rd machine learning algorithm. It is an extension of the hummingbird update. It presents rich snippets and answer boxes. It helps decide which sites are relevant for position 0
  • 6. TIP 5 - Natural Language and Search We are heading back into natural language to search. No more dumbing down our search terms to find relevant content. Most searches contain 3-6 keywords now. This is a steady upward trend in the last 2 years since Google started testing artificial intelligence in ranking
  • 7. TIP 6 - Position 0 Rich Snippets or Answer Boxes make up 20% of the How do I and What do I searches. They all comprise of Tables and Lists. We don't currently have any of these on our sites. We can add them to possibly get into them and take position 0.
  • 8. TIP 7 - optimize more pages This was demonstrated for PPC but would work with all pages. Take your highest traffic pages that have a high bounce rate and spend time optimizing the content and the experience of those pages. Why do they bounce? Small corrections to these pages can produce huge gains
