8. SQUARE
Whilst not strictly part of SXSW, I was
delighted to see that Jack Dorsey’s Square has
deleted checkouts in shops, empowered
cabbies and enabled casual golf game wagers.

10. RAY KURZWEIL
Was just awesome. Talked about Moore’s Law;
the technological singularity; the sub-optimal
nature of blood cells. “What difference does it
make if my phone is outside or inside me – it’s
still fundamental to my existence”

11. STEPHEN WOLFRAM
The inventor of Mathematica and Wolfram Alpha. More and more we’re
going to see information and action being pre-emptive. Not just hosting
and sorting information but analysing it and defining actions based on it.
