2. ARE CHARACTER
Because are character does not talk there is nothing definite that can be drawn
from the title sequence about the mysterious mountain biker. But by judging by
the mes-on-scene and the camera we can see that he is very methodical because
of the way that he organises and picks his tools. The wide range of camera
positions shows that he is in control of the bike and he is very focused on this one
thing. The music playing above the title sequence helps denotes to the sound
used in mountain biking videos on you tube this again subjects his character as
being closely linked with mountain biking. His helmet, safety gear and the way
checks over the bike for problems suggests that he is safety conscious, until he
ignores the warning sign which implicates that he is possibly quit ignorant and
over confident on knowing his boundaries. Although he does have a natural
reaction to seeing the dead body which allows the majority of audience to relate
to him.
3. MOUNTAIN BIKERS
Mountain bikers are stereotypically are quit anti-social and cut off from society and
by the assumptions made from the different aspects of are title sequence are
character is no different because he does not talk to anyone when he is leaving his
house or on the street outside. The clip also shows the mountain biker not wearing
a helmet on the road but on the trails, this is another stereotype of mountain bikers
that they think the road is not dangerous but the trails are. The gear that are
character wears is identical to what professional bikers where; this shows that he
takes the sport seriously. We have tried to match the natural perception of a
mountain biker in are character.
4. ARE CHARACTER IN RELATION TO 127 HOURS AND
THERE CHARACTER
127 Hours was one of are inspirations for the representation of are
character. In 127 hours Aron (the main character) is portrayed as selfish
and over confident of his skills, this is shown buy his reckless action like
not telling anyone where he was going. He is also in a very remote aria
which we tried to recreate in are title sequence in the woods. In both
films the ignorance of the characters lead to them having an accident
and lending them in bad situations.
