The Ekain cave is located in the Basque Country region of Spain, in the province of Gipuzkoa. It contains paintings from the Upper Paleolithic period between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago. The cave consists of several rooms and galleries decorated with black and red paintings, mostly depicting bears. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008 due to the significance of its prehistoric art.
