The Fishguard Primary School, Ysgol Glannau Gwaun, believes it’s been
worth the effort and expense, with some of the “more challenging” boys
taking to the technology and enjoying the experience of teaching younger
ones how to use it. Head teacher Irwyn Wilcox says: “We often have the

Editor's Notes
The iPad has been hailed as a valuable educational tool as its small, light and interactive. I will attempt to outline why it is beneficial for use in the classroom and suggest some educational apps for children to use.
iPads increase pupil engagement iPads give pupils more choices to learn. iPads make working in groups easier. iPads make reading fun. iPads revolutionize art and music. music lessons.
iPads increase pupil engagement by making lessons more interactive and entertaining. The child will have more control over their own pace of learning.
Pupils, from nursery to college age, will have more choices to aid their learning. They will be able to use auditory or visual methods of learning depending on their preferences.
Our children were surveyed, above is Casllwchwr’s top 5 favourite apple games.
Casllwchwr Primary school have hit the headlines over the past few years as leaders in the use of Mobile Technology in Britain. We have been given the 3 rd Millennium award, the NAACE Highly Commended Award and have just been made an Apple Lighthouse School.
