1. The Brick Wall – A Summary
The Brick Wall tells a story about a soldier who killed another soldier called Massey. The
soldier was really happy about Masseys friends which soon came to their sense.
One night they decided to do a little trip. They got very drunk and the soldier lost control of
his body. When he came to, he was lying on his back with his wrists and ankles shackled to the
floor.
First he thought Masseys friends were joking but soon he realized they were serious about the
thing they were doing. He was struggling against his bones. They were working in silence and
layed brick after brick on his body.
He was fighting against it until his hands and skin were wet with his own blood. It didn’t take
a long time until he stopped seeing any light. He was buried on his living body.
