• Dorothy Leigh Sayers born at 13 june of 1893
in Oxford,UK; an died in 17 december of 1957
(64 years) in Witham , Essex , Reino Unido.

3. Dorothy´s life:
• She was a renowned Englishcrime writer,
poet, playwright, essayist, translator, and
Christian humanist. She was also a student of
classical and modern languages.
• Her books very important are “The secret of
Oxford”, “ The corpse with lenses”, “Lord
Peter discovers the crime” and “A corpse for
Harriet Vane”.

4. • When she was six, he started teaching her Latin.
• She grew up in the tiny village of Bluntisham
• From 1909 she was educated at the Godolphin
School , a boarding school in Salisbury .
• In 1912, Sayers won a scholarship to Somerville
College, Oxford [5] where she studied modern
languages and medieval literature.
• She finished with first-class honours in 1915
