Bob Marley was a Jamaican musician, guitarist and songwriter.
Bob Marley had to endure ridicule from Jamaican blacks for being a
mixture of black and white especially in childhood, adolescence (said to
be the brother of his first girlfriend told him that "we do not want whites
in this house ).
But after Bob Marley showed indifferent said not of their racial mixture,
although he identified simply as black and that was the only part of his
racial for which he showed interest.
Between his successes are the "I Shot the Sheriff", "No Woman, No Cry",
"Jamming", "Redemption Song" and, together with The Wailers, "Three
Little Birds," "Buffalo Soldier".
The compilation album Legend, in 1984, three years after his death, is
reggae's best-selling album in history with 10 platinum albums in the
United States and 20 million copies in the world.
