MYTHS ABOUT FOOD
Since we are small we are invaded by messages about what is and what is not a healthy diet,
many of them deceptive. How many times have you heard that breakfast is the most
important meal of the day? Or that your best ally to lose weight is protein?
Tired of so many myths, we asked Juan Llorca, a chef and crackentre the hearths and also, a
ferventcommittedtohealthyeatinginourcountry and the little ones (among other things, is
responsible for that at Valencia Montessori School, eat well).
Ready to banish a bunch of falsehoods?
1. "The natural orange juice is very healthy, it's like I'm taking some oranges"
2. "If I'm not eating breakfast I'm doing it badly, so it's impossible to eat a
healthy diet"
3. "For a glass of wine a day nothing happens, it is compatible with a balanced
diet"
4. "You have to swell protein if you want to lose weight"
5. "When I go out there, I can take an Aquarius or a tonic, it's the healthiest
after the water"
6. "In the morning I have to drink a glass of water with lemon to help purify
my body"
7. "You have to make five meals a day to have a good diet and that the
metabolism works well"
