That, is awesome! THEMEWell today is your lucky day because MunchOnMe is helping people who love to eat find tasty new food, right here in their own neighborhoods. We help hungry eaters find delicious dishes around them at great prices and at the same time we’re completely changing the way restaurants get discovered.  OUTLINEToday I just want to cover 3 things: Who we areWhat we doHow we’re changing food marketing
  2. WHO ARE WE?So what is Munch On Me?  Munch On Me is a food discovery website that serves people who love to eat and also restaurant owners looking to expand the reach of their food advertising.  Think of us as the guys who help restaurants connect their best meal experience to local foodies.
  3. U.S. restaurants spend $6 billion annually on traditional advertising! Restaurants want to get noticed! And they’re are always looking for ways to showcase how their food is unique and special.  The problem is a lot of traditional advertising is not very effective. When restaurants put an ad in the newspaper, there’s no guarantee how many people will walk in the door. Many restaurants use boards on the sidewalk to display “Today’s Specials” but its limited to foot traffic.  We’ve created an online solution that solves these issues for restaurants and markets great meal experiences directly to local foodies.
  4. OUR MODELSo here’s our website:  We work with restaurants to feature one signature dish at a discount on our site, usually for a week at a time. And we’ve found this model gives people a great reason to try new restaurants. They end up have a really tasty dining experience, and we’re able to translate that first experience into repeat business for the restaurants we work with.  Restaurants love us because:We introduce them to a lot of new customers but they have control over what customers get, how many promos they’re selling etc.There’s also room for upsell. Since we only do 1 item, many people come in and buy other items at full price.And finally we’re not attracting one-time deal hunters Our users are people who genuinely love food and finding new things to eat. And we promote unique dining experiences to thousands of hungry customers in your area who are searching for local gems.

COMPETITORSCompare this to some of the larger players where: customers come from far awaythey don’t know what they’re gettingthe restaurant has no idea how many people will come in and what dishes to plan forthey end up being stretched on capacity, customer service suffers, everyones annoyed, people don’t come back, and then they leave you a bad yelp review when they get home! Unbelievable! That’s no good, and our model reverses every single one of those problems.  This is how we’re different and this is exactly why our model works. It’s completely optimized for the restaurant community. We put a lot of commitment into being advocates for restaurants, and we’ve had great response: 100% retention and 100% positive feedback from every business we’ve worked with!

GROWTHSo what’s next?  Right now we’re growing really fast, we’re already in East Bay, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Diego.  We’re setting up Austin, Boston, Chicago, New York City, Washington DC, and Portland. And we’re bringing our unique marketing platform to 30 markets by late next year!
