2. Sound:
Ambient sound is very important in films, it helps to make it seem more realistic.
Filming outside is very difficult unless you have a boom microphone and a cover to
stop the wind from hitting the microphone directly.
It is important to find a very quite location so ambient sound
We found that it is easier to record sound effects ourselves.
3. Blogging:
As I had never used the website before I had to explore all the different functions
available to me and even though it very simple program to use it took me a while
to get used to it.
I learnt that I have to try very hard to proof read my work as there is a very poor
version of spell check on blogger.
I learnt how to use different formats of presenting my work, e.g. slideshare, prezi,
spicy nodes, etc. I also learnt how to embed these with their html codes.
4. Camera:
It took me awhile when I started filming to figure out how to focus the camera so
we could film in focus.
Using a tripod is very important unless you want a shaky shot for effect, otherwise
it looks unprofessional.
5. Editing:
The editing system was completely new to me
We had to explore the software to find effects that we like, such as black and white.
This was in the video effects section on the program, the categories weren’t very
clear so we had to look through all the categories until we found what we needed.
We explored how to make titles on the software, this was difficult as we had to
choose whether to use after effects which is very time consuming or to use
premiere pro's title software. We ended up using premiere pro’s title software,
though we should have considered After Effects more as our titles we’re a bit
boring.
We learnt how to cut our footage properly, this was difficult as you have to listen
and watch the clip very carefully so there isn’t any imperfections that need cutting
out.
