4. TRIGGER WORDS
• Words that begin a statement in the past tense.
• Una Dia
• Dos Veces
• Una vez

5. CAR,GAR,ZAR
Verbs that end in Car:
• Change “car”- “qu.” Tocar----Toque
Verbs that end in Gar:
Change gar to gue. Jugar----Jugue
Verbs that end in zar:
Change zar to ce. Comenzar----comence
6. DEBER
• Deber- Should
• Conjugate the verb deber and leave the action in
the infinitive form.
• Ex.
• Yo debo limpiar.
• Tu debes correr.
• Diego debe comer.
• Nosotros debemos mirar la tele.
• Ellos deben nadar.
7. MODAL VERBS
• Verbs are used in modal form, which means only
one verb can be conjugated per sentence.
• The second verb is left in infinitive form.
• Ex. Yo voy comprar a la supermercado.
8. PRESENT PROGRESSIVE
• Puts action in the present tense and shows the
action is being performed.
• Ex Eating,running,sleeping
• Ar---ando
• Er+Ir----iendo
• Vowels--- yendo
• Ex
• Jugar---jugando
• Comer---comiendo
9. ADVERBS
• Add “mente” onto an adjective to create an
adverb. Adding “mente” is like adding the “ly” to
adverbs in English.
• When two adverbs are used at the same time only
the second one is modified.
• Roberto esta sacando la busera rapido y
tranquilamente.
