• Corruption is the misuse of public power and resources of private
gain.
Examples of public resources:
• Money
• Goods
• Vehicles
• Buildings
• Pension Funds
4. Types of Corruption
There are two major types of corruption
1.Petty corruption:
• On Low Scale
Such as registration offices, police stations and many other private and
government sectors.
2.Grand corruption:
• On High Scale
Such as Country based corruptions , Bureaucrat, Politicians etc.
7. In 2018, Transparency International (TI) calculated
that Pakistan had lost more than US$ 130 billion
in corruption, tax evasion and bad governance in the
PPP and PML-N government from 2008 to 2018.
How Corruption Effect Pakistan
10. Police and law enforcement
Corruption is found to be commonplace in the lower levels of police. Police was
observed asthe most corrupt sector in a 2013 survey byTransparency
International.
11. Taxation and Customs
According to the 2002 study, 99% of 256 respondents reported facing
corruption of taxation.
12. Health care
In 2010, 48% reported either having to pay additional costs for essential
services or being forced to utilize the services of a designated affiliate.
13. Education
In the 2010,TI Pakistan reported that about 23.7%of those received
admission in educational institutions through non-normal and
alternate procedures.

Low salaries
15. Low salaries
Low government wages in development
country result in decline of public sector. Many
government officers have low wages due to
which they become corrupt and start taking
bribes from people which causes.
16. Lack of Transparency
In many country media is not independent and
media is in the hands of government officials
due to which people didn't know the policies
and plan of Government. This factor also cause
corruption.
17. Lack of Awareness
In country like Pakistan about half population is
not educated and they didn't know the basic
knowledge. So government take advantage
and people are not aware of their basic rights.

The literacy rate of any country has go ne

allocation Obsolete Examination system.
19. Lack of Proper System
In Pakistan Corruption exists in all level and
areas of a system. Very few honest people
survive in this corrupt system. Those who
raised their voice against corruption are killed
or forced to resign. This accelerates the growth
of corruption.

81% of people agree that ordinary people
can make a difference in the fight against corruption.
22. Conclusion
This clearly portrays that in order to get the
country developed, we have to eliminate the
corruption. This is only possible when people are
educated.
When there is no corruption, then countries
develop.
