● The style of the advert is dramatic, therefore it is used to get across the
serious message of road safety.
● It creates a shocked feeling within the audience and therefore makes
them think about their speed whilst driving and also about the control
they should have over the car.

SHOCKED!
The message of our advert is to get across to people that speed does kill and
to make the viewers more aware of the consequences that could happen if
people drive recklessly.
This advert got banned in the UK due to the graphic content in the video,
however the owners of the advert said that showing children die is the only
way to get through to drivers.

have?
In Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, safety
is the second most important factor.
In this advert it shows how being safe
and secure is important to the self.
In this advert it catches the
audience’s attention more, due to the
fact, the age ranges of the characters
in the advert range from a young age,
therefore those watching are bound
to either feel guilty or think about
the consequences if it was their
children or their family members.
Therefore they’d think about the
safety of their loved ones.
