2. Before I started the MCBS Program, I was
(and still am) working a full-time job as an
analyst.
3. For many years, I always thought I wanted
to work for the U.S. Federal Government
and travel.
4. To some in my family as well as in my
community, that is their definition of
success. For a while there, I thought I was
living the American dream and was
successful...or so I thought.
5. But then my son broke his leg while playing
at his high school's homecoming game in his
junior year.
6. That night I found myself crying while
sitting beside my son's hospital bed.
7. I told him that I was glad that it was
only a broken leg because we always
talked about the news media reports
about how some high school football
players had died on the field either
during practice or during an actual
game.
8. He looked at me and said if he died on the
field, he was happy doing something that
he loved to do.
9. He then looked at me and
asked me if I died on my job,
would I have died doing
something that I loved to do.
11. Because of that conversation with my son,
along with many other conversations from
other individuals, I decided to pursue my
passion and obtain my degree in the Media
industry.
12. Because of that passion, I was given the
opportunity to work for a Gospel Public
Relations media firm as an independent
contractor while working under my company’s
name Kingdom Konnectionz.
13. Because of that experience, I gained
valuable insight on the dynamics of how
Public Relations firms assist recording
artists and radio stations to become a
cohesive unit for their target market
audience.
14. Although I had first-hand
experience in working with a
Public Relations firm, I
struggled within myself
because knew I needed more
exposure to add to my
professional career/resume.
15. Until finally one day I was talking to one of
my friends about my professional
"dilemma". He then referred me to Full Sail
University.
16. And ever since I decided to pursue my
passion for media because working in this
field is what I love to do.
