4. But to be a journalist is a one-in- a-million career, and it was not a very stable job.
5. Plus I am dyslexic so everyone said, “you can’t be a journalist
dyslexic”
6. I had always thought I wanted to work in fashion. I wanted
to work as a buyer for a major company like Ralph Lauren
or maybe Mark Jacob.
7. However, after I applied for a job to be the
spokesperson of the credit union near where I
live, that turned out to be a contest.
8. Each week we had a series of challenges to complete. While
doing those challenges, I started to use my editing skills and my
writing skills to complete different challenges every week.
9. After we had completed each task we were required to share it and get as
many likes and views as we possibly could. After all those challenges were
completed, whatever had the most votes would move on to the finals.
10. During the final, we were issued a challenge to get published or recognized by
local newspaper or news station. Because of that I got the opportunity to meet a
lot of journalists and reporters from my local news station.
11. As I started getting positive feedback on my work from friends, family,
and even some journalists I had met, I started to think that maybe this is
what I wanted to do.

Finally, after much research, I came across full sail. That is the moment when I decided
to pursue my passion for media communication.
13. I could not be happier with my decision. I did not realize until later on
that my passion for media communication started way before I ever
found full sail and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me.
