2. CLOTHING AND MAKE-UP
• EMMA: Regular clothing and make up. Day to day to look
realistic as possible, connects to the audience easily as they can
identify. Towards her break down her hair will get messier and
so will her clothing. Her eyes will become more hollow. During
her breakdown within the mirror she begins to bleed and self
harm almost, as if something is trying to escape from her;
when filming these scenes her make up will become more pale
and dead like, we will also use fake blood and wax to create the
idea of peeling skin.
• AELLA: Dead looking, again wax will be used to get this affect,
we will also use fake blood also. The clothing will be either
completely black or completely white. Most likely to be
oversized clothes to help give the full affect.
• MUM: Day to day clothing, something you’d seen someone
wearing down the street and every day make up. Again,
keeping it realistic and possible so it’s easier to connect with
the audience.
• COLLEGE LECTURER: Teacher clothing, casual formal.
3. PROPS
• A little brown wooden box with a ring inside.
• The persistent use of a range of mirrors in a different
location when she starts to have her breakdown.
• There will also be use of computers and phones when
researching the name found at the bottom of the box.
• There will also be use of notepads, pens and other
stationary when in the college environment.
• There will also be use of headphones when the main
character is walking.
4. LIGHTING
• All lighting within our trailer will be as natural as
possible. There will be no forced lighting other than the
light being on either in the college environment. We will
use the natural light accordingly. The woods will be dimly
light due to the leafs surrounding which will help give off
an uneasy feel that seems natural.
5. BLOCKING AND
PERFORMANCE
• The camera will mostly be used in an over the shoulder
manner, as if in the point of view of the ghost that is
following her.
• The ghost will always appear behind the main character
with one exception.
• The mother and main character will be filmed head on
rather than over the shoulder to help convey their
fractured relationship.
• The main character and the college lecturer will be filmed
close up and cutting between one and other.
