2. Stock Narrative/Themes
 In ‘Log Book’ we have used murder and
a slight secret agent twist to it. Marriage
isn’t always used in a thriller/romantic
genre like ours so we have adapted it a
little bit. Like Mr and Mrs Smith, we have
used a sense of ‘assassin’ type element
to our film as we felt it fit right at the
time.

3. Stock Setting
 For the office scene, we have used a
study which was tight fitting and perfect
for the description of an office scene.
 The honeymoon scene was set in a five
star luxury hotel which is the romantic
element of the genre.

4. Stock Characters
 In this element, we have included a
villain and also a victim. The
villain, Simon who is played by Jack
Cavanagh is a secret murderer and a
victim in the forest scene and also an
upcoming victim at the end in which the
details of the murder has been texted to
Simon.

5. CESM and Iconography
 We decided that Simon shouldn’t use
any weapons in the film because that
could potentially give his identity away to
everyone.
