Why respecting the colleagues is important.
When in an office it's important it realizes the kind of people you are working ,their religious beliefs ,their political beliefs and also the cultural background .This helps you to make sure that you do not offend their faith and beliefs with remarks that you make without intending to hurt or offend anyone. Also, there should be an overall intro that introduces the topic as well as a thesis that notes the main points to be addressed.
Respecting this is the act of understanding one's opinion regardless of the background the gender or even the religion (Bergum, 2005).It is a way of treating a person well and also honoring the decisions they make whether you are opposing or supporting the idea.It is taught right from being an aid the kids are taught on how to conduct themselves and how they have supposed their friends and the elders. Respect can also be shown in very many different ways it could be in gestures ,in a word of mouth or even signs (Bouchard,1994).Respected can be both given and taken depending on how one is brought up and what they believe in.In receiving some people earn the respect of the people maybe through their deeds of humanity or an extraordinary action.In different religion, respect is shown differently.In japan when referring to a person who is higher in the ranking and also social status it is disrespectful if you do not address them by the title “san.”In China, unless you know someone for a long time or you are very good friends it is bad to call them by their name. In the country like India respect is shown by touching the feet of the elderly .In the west African culture respecting is shown touching the fist.It is important to note that when at work the colleagues should be referred by the titles the hold in office. • Decrease stress that you are going through since your
workmates are they for you.

How to respect others
It is important to know how to respect each another while in the
office.It is important to know what your colleagues feel about
something or topic so that to avoid disrespecting their
feelings.It is important to also know that they way you showing
respect is positive according to your colleagues.
Treat others with respect by respecting what they believe in and
with dignity
Follow the guidelines by work ethics that control and guide
you in the office.
It is important to show that you have the confidence in their
ability and maintain confidentially.

• Support your colleagues whenever they are facing

• It is important to show that you are listening to the
colleagues more since it shows that you care about them.
• Whether you had a good night or you had issues back at
home it is important to start the day by greeting your colleagues
and knowing how they are doing and how their night was
without forgetting to wish them a good day .
• It is important to know the limits when you are joking about
something or talking about a sensitive topic.
• It is good to ask them for their opinion before making a
decision on any topic this way you get to show them how you
respect their ideas while in the office.
• Avoiding to use words that may be disrespecting especially
when having an argument on a topic.
• Appreciating and recognizing the b the efforts and also the
achievement of the colleagues is important because it
encourages and motivates them.
• It is important to respect your colleagues for any help that
they offer to you it can be through buying them gifts or even
taking them for dinner as a way to show appreciation
(Kuo,2012).
• Whenever you find a missed cal a message or even a poster
it is important to return and to know what they wanted it is a
way of showing how important they are and that you respect
them (Landis, 1987).
• It is important to remember to correct a colleague whenever
they are wrong but in a good way that they might not be
offended.Correcting someone the right way makes them respect
you and they can consult you on anything.

How to earn respect in the workplace
Whenever you control your emotions even when frustrated or
mad the colleagues will respect you.
• Keep your personal life separate from the office and don’t
share what happens to you as an individual or discussing the
issues that are between you and your spouse or the kids.
6. • Remain positive on what other people believe in and
consider important.
• Manage your stress and don’t let the anger to be visible to
the people.It can be achieved by not showing an attitude when
answering questions shouting or even being rude to the
colleagues no matter what you going through.
• Observing on the language that you use to make sure that
you not too casual with the colleagues,and also the body
language and the gestures to be used.
• Accept feedback and also the instruction that you get from
your superiors and doing them according to the instruction
given.
• When talking to colleagues talk about things that can lead to
the growth of the company and not discussing your fellow
colleagues like maybe talking ill about your boss.
respect face-to-face interactions and also remember to thank the
colleagues for creating their time to talk to you.
• Follow the process of using the right channel may be by use
of an email when you want to pass a message maybe to the boss
and not by using SMS or social media such as facebook.
• Taking responsibility for your assigned role and all the tasks
that come with it by making sure that you perform as expect
without being pushed by anyone.
• It is important to have the courtesy to know when to knock
before you enter someone's office and also remembering to
appreciate them by saying thanking them for everything and
any help that they offer.
• Always keep your word by making sure that you keep your
promises and meet the deadlines.
• Don’t fail to show up for the meeting and even if you
cannot make it there always apologize.
• Dress decently when in the office and not putting on too
tight closes or even too short dresses and skirts.
• Keep your office clean and tidy
• Whenever in company parties avoid drinking too much
because when drunk you might misbehave and offend the

The goals of the report are to make that you are able to relate
well with your colleagues and through that it is easy to work
and relate well with the colleagues .The objective is to make
sure that you do not have a hard time relating with your
colleague or even offending them whenever you are
interacting.With good relation, it is easy to make good
individual progress from the motivation you get from the people
you showed respect and also the support that they show you.It is
important to show respect to people so that you can have a good
working relation since this will make you work to your level
best. When you follow the guidelines that I have given you can
have an easy time relating to your colleagues and you even get
the chance to enjoy and have fun in the office.Respect can also
make you be promoted by the boss or even the salary raised.
