1. Audience feed back
Cover
Colour scheme- I asked for feedback on my cover’s colour scheme. The people I asked said they liked
the colour scheme they thought that the pinks and the purples worked really well together. They
also said this would appeal to the target audience as it is the typical colours that the target audience
like. They also said that it would appeal to the target audience as it stands out.
Images- the people I asked for feedback said that they like the images as they feel the artists are
represented as stereotypical pop artists which would be appealing to the target audience so this is
positive.
Fonts- they also said that they liked the fonts as they think the font and the colour of the fonts stand
out and the texts that need to stand out more such as the main cover story stand out well.
Layout- they said that the layout was good as it is cluttered which the target audience would find
intriguing and encourage them to buy the magazine.
Improvements- I also asked how they feel I could improve my cover page and they said one
improvement that could be made is I could use more of a variety of fonts.
Contents
Colour scheme- they said they like all of the purples and they liked how I managed to also managed
to use some pink on the contents as it creates a house style.
Images- they said they liked how I used an image of the cover page on the content as it helps the
target audience clearly know how to find the cover lines in the magazine without having to look
through all of the page numbers at the bottom.
Fonts- they said they liked all the fonts used as there is a variety of fonts used and they are all
appealing to the target audience.
Layout- they also liked the layout because it is cluttered but organised which give the magazine a
good effect.
Improvements- one of the improvements they said I could make is if I used a different image on the
editor’s letter as they feel this image doesn’t look as professional as it should.
Double page spread
Colour scheme- they said they liked how I had used a blue colour scheme on the double page spread
as I have a male artist and they feel the blue represents this well.
Images- they said they like the image as the colours he is wearing contrasts well with the colour
scheme I used and they also feel the male I used is represented stereotypically as a male pop artist.
Fonts- they said they liked the fonts as I have used a variety of fonts which separate the most
important text from the least important and also they liked how it is clearly shown which is a
question and which is an answer through the use of fonts.
Layout- they liked the layout as there is no blank spaces and it is very filled and they liked where the
image has been placed as they feel this will draw in the attention of the target audience and intrigue
them into reading the article.
Improvements- they said an improvement could be to make the double page spread more colourful
by using different shades of blue. As they feel this would make the double page spread more
appealing as it will be more colourful and eye catching.
