Hamilton Vs. Jefferson
December 29, 2006 by Ando

I had intended to post Part II of the WWI question last night, but got caught up doing movie reviews
on Life of Ando. So to slake your ravenous historical thirst in the meantime, here is my assignment
from my history class this past week. If you're really into American history and how the politics of
the early Republic shook out, Jefferson vs. Hamilton is a great study. It's also a little, I guess
comforting, to know that as bad as we think today's politicians are, politics was always a very dirty
game. Like Bismarck said, "Laws are like sausages. Better to not see them being made." And as
Ecclesiastes says, "There's nothing new under the sun."
1) How did the political ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, without Hamilton's counter–balance Jefferson's policies may have left the government
weak and ineffectual to deal with major crises both at home and abroad.
Each viewpoint needed the other to create a government that would be strong enough to protect
itself and it's people from internal and external strife, but not so strong that it would infringe on the
rights of the people as enumerated in the Bill of Rights and in the Revolutionary spirit. These issues,
of course, weren't resolved or ceased to be relevant after Hamilton and Jefferson left the scene.
These are still very much the issues we deal with even now, over 200 years later. As much as we
might dislike, or even hate, the position of the "other" party, without some balance both sides would
undoubtedly abuse their power...more than they already do.

Child Soldiers: Converting Innocent Children into Armed...
"I would like to give you a message, please do your best to tell the world what is happening to us,
the children. So that other children do not have to pass through this violence."
These are the words of a 15–year–old girl in Uganda. Like her, there are an estimated 300,000
children under the age of eighteen who are serving as child soldiers in about thirty–six conflict
zones (Shaikh). Life on the front lines often brings children face to face with the horrors of war. Too
many children have personally experienced or witnessed physical violence, including executions,
death squad killings, disappearances, torture, arrest, sexual abuse, bombings, forced displacement,
destruction of home, and massacres. Over the past ten years, ... Show more content on

This is the same situation that Juliet faced: "Young girls were forced into sexual relationships with
men who were above our age. I was forced to become a rebel's wife. They said "no issues" either
you go with this man or we kill you. I got pregnant at a very early age with that man" ("Juliet's
Journey"). There are no excuses that can justify the treatment of child soldiers. Children are among
the saddest victims of conflict: they rarely emerge from military service with a sense of their own
worth and identity. Worse, they often experience violence that leaves them physically or
psychologically scarred. Facing a difficult adolescence, many turn to drugs, alcohol, and anti–social
behavior. No child should ever have to face the horrors and lasting effects of war.
While child soldiers exist in many countries all over the world, there is a dire need in Chad to find a
solution to this problem. Chad, located in north– central Africa, has seen a growing number of child
soldiers over the past few years. It is estimated that there exists approximately 7,000 to 10,000 child
soldiers in armed forces across Chad. This epidemic in Chad is mainly caused by the recurring civil
war (Child Soldiers International, "Better Than Cure"). Rebel forces have made numerous attempts
to overthrow Idriss Deby, who rose to power in 1989 and remains the current president. In 2005, and
early 2006, rebel forces located in Sudan's Darfur region gained strength as well as sponsorship

Lifestyle Assessment : Diabetes, Stroke, Or Diabetes (...
Lifestyle Assessment I am a fairly healthy person. I have no predisposing factors contributing to
diseases like hypertension, stroke, or diabetes (healthfinder 2017). Although I do have severe
allergies from my recent visit to the allergist I have found that I am allergic to every kind of tree,
mold, dust, animal (cat and dog), and pollen. This was not surprising to me because I often get sick,
and recent blood test have shown that my igA is low, it is a 39 but should be at least 60. This is a
protein in your blood that helps to provide immunity to your body against foreign bodies. I also

Fruit also has high levels of vitamin C. Minor infections like colds and the flu are also less likely to
happen if you eat plenty of fruits like kiwi, raspberries, blueberries, and citrus fruit, because these
fruits offer high levels of vitamin C (dailymail UK, 2002). This is why increasing fruit intake is
important because you will receive high levels of vitamin C which can reduce the risk of you getting
sick, and it prevents deterioration of memory. I recommend that everybody increase their fruit
uptake to get the benefits of a healthier life. Methods you could try are eating three different types of
fruit a day so you don't get tired of a fruit. Also you could eat fruit as a snack instead of ice cream,
chips, candy etc. Behavior Modification Plan My measureable goal was to eat three servings of fruit
a day by April 22, 2017. I picked this goal because of the benefits of increasing fruit intake. In order
to make sure I adhere to my target goal I will eat three different fruits in a day so I won't get sick of
a certain fruit. I also choose to eat half a cup of blueberries a day to help stimulate new brain cells
(dailymail UK, 2017). At the beginning I didn 't like blueberries at all, but now have a obsession
with them. I also set up an alarm on my phone to remind me to eat fruit in the morning, at lunch, and

Diversity In The Workplace Report
In the previous century, diversity workplace was defined as a blend of race, gender, religion,
nationally and sexual orientation. As the world, economic system changes, many organizations are
faced with the diversity of four generations employed side–by–side in the workplace. Each
generation shares a peculiar birth eras, values, lifetime circumstance and historical stories that
influence their viewpoints. In the last decade, the State of Florida initiates to cultivate more and

One Small Pill for Womankind: One Big Dose for the U.S.
Gregory Goodwin Pincus created the birth control pill stimulating a new tidal wave of women's
rights movements. From one small pill, new channels that were once dammed to a trickle became a
mighty flood again. With the ability to prevent pregnancy without risking a dangerous abortion
women found the strength to fight against male–dominated areas that were still left untouched from
the first series of movements by their predecessors. From how long they were involved in the
workforce to stepping up for their rights and changing laws, women came alive with a renewed
ferocity with just one small pill. Once the pill, a reliable option, to prevent pregnancy was there
women took hold of it in massive numbers. In 1957 the pill was approved "for ... Show more

Without the chance of pregnancy, they made the change to go back to work. These effects are seen
in the numbers by the recorded percentile change in women within the workforce from 1960 to
1970. In 1960, women working during childbearing years (25–34) rose an entire two percent,
working through the rearing years (35–44) increased by 4.3 and the women returning work after
motherhood (45–54) swelled to twelve percent ("Labor Force"). These were significant changes but
the one's that came with the pill when it was deemed safer were even more extraordinary from 1970
to 1980. In 1970, close to half of women (45%) were working through the time that was deemed fit
for matrimony and birth with only 6.3 percent leaving the workforce ("Labor Force"). Even though
after twenty years in 1980 there were still approximately a twenty and thirty percent difference
between men and women in the workplace it was still an amazing different to the fifty and sixty
percent difference in the 1950s ("Labor Force"). From 1950 to the late 1960s it was a fact that
women and the workplace met in few places, for only a brief time and very rarely in the general
public eye. If seen in

The Birth Control Movement Outline
I. Introduction
a. History of The birth control movement
i. During the Progressive Era, the birth control movement was an essential cause for many activist
women to fight against the prevention of birth control methods. The birth control movement was a
social reform campaign from 1914 to 1945 of which women began to gain sexual freedom and
sexual education.
b. The cause of The birth control movement
i. Many Americans were opposed of birth control because they believed that it promoted
promiscuity and gave the approval to men to pursue greater sexual urges outside of their marriages.

Sanger found that over 300,000 babies under a year old died every year in the U.S, due to neglect,
poverty, and hunger. ii. If women were given the proper knowledge about their bodies and different
birth control methods, deaths from abortions and unwanted child births would decline substantially.
b. "What Every Girl Should Know"
i. Sangers advocated her novel to provide information to young girls on topics as puberty,
menstruation, venereal disease, pregnancy and menopause.
c. Family Limitation
i. Sangers published this pamphlet to provide a basic instructional manual of basic family planning
techniques
IV. Overturning anti–birth control laws
a. The Women Rebel
i. Sanger formed a group of radical women to fight the issue of banned contraceptives and worked
towards the legalization of birth control. This group of women worked together to publish a monthly
magazine, The Women Rebel, which addressed gender oppression, women and labor, and other
feminist issues. ii. The Comstock Act of 1873 prohibited the circulation of "obscene and immoral
materials," including contraceptive information. This meant that publication of The Women Rebel
was illegal because it violated this act by sending out information on contraception through the

Kant’s Practical Imperative in the Film The Insider Essay
This principle is referred to as Kant's practical imperative and is an important principle for an ethical
system which says that each human being is an end in himself or herself. No human being should be
thought of or used merely as a means for someone else end. Dr. Jeffrey Wigand the main protagonist
of "The Insider" portrays himself to be a conflicted individual as he makes decisions throughout the
movie. Against an undetermined future, he ruminates about what he knows is right for example,
receiving threats, the phone ringing at odd hours. He makes most of his decisions by weighing the
cost and benefits, which may be referred to as Kant's principle the "end justifies the
means".Analysis of Wigand if he had to disclose the information ... Show more content on

The Kantian perspective would consider Lowell actions to be unethical, as he encourage another
person to break his promise for a greater of social good. Lowell knows the extent of the pleasure,

and his family losing all benefits from the agreement. The possible lawsuit faced against CBS and
damages to the tobacco industry and its employees. If he does not encourage Wigand, its just result

Wigand and Bergman used each other as means to one anothers end.
Not actually being in his position it would be difficult to decide to what my actual emotions would

and people have a duty to act in accordance, regardless of the good or bad consequences that may be
produced.

The Theory Of The Birth Territory Theory Essay
The theory I selected to apply to the above situation is the Birth Territory theory. This theory was
created from empirical data collected by the authors who serve as both midwives and researchers. It
has a critical post–structural feminist undertone and elaborates on the ideas of Michel Foucault. The
Birth Territory theory predicts and elaborates on the relationships between jurisdiction (use of
authority and influence), terrain (the birthing environment), and personal emotional and
physiological experience by the mother. This nurse–midwifery theory was chosen because both of
the major concepts directly correlate with the incident and are critical aspects of labor and delivery
situations. MAYBE ELABORATE A diagram of the Birth Territory theory can be seen in Appendix
A. Key concepts included in this theory are terrain and jurisdiction. Sub–concepts listed under
terrain include ' 'surveillance room' and sanctum'. Sub–concepts listed under jurisdiction include
'midwifery guardianship', 'integrative power', 'midwifery domination', and 'disintegrative power'.
'Terrain' signifies the aspects of the birth environment. These include physical and geographical
features such as the birthing furniture, as labor and birthing accessories, and personal support
systems (birthing partner). 'Terrain' includes two sub–concepts: 'sanctum' and 'surveillance room'. A
'sanctum' is a homely birthing environment optimally designed to promote a private, healthy labor
and birth. Amenities included

Timeline of Gendered Movements Beginning in the mid–19th century, woman suffrage supporters
worked to achieve what many Americans considered a radical change in the Constitution. Women's
rights pioneers used tactics such as parades, silent vigils, hunger strikes, and picketing to get there
points across and Congress to pass a women suffrage amendment. (Reforming Their World, 2007)
The 19th amendment of 1920 is a very important amendment to the constitution because it gave
women the right to vote. You may remember that the 15th amendment made it illegal for the federal
and state government to deny any US citizen the right to vote, however, this did not apply to
women. The 19th ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

as you can see from the past, even though a law is written, an amendment always seems to follow
and that is what happened in the case of General Electric v. Gilbert, in which the Court held that
denial of benefits for pregnancy–related disability was not discrimination based on sex. Women's

The Supernatural In Elizabeth Bowen's The Demon Lover
With a close examination of Elizabeth Bowen's suspenseful short story, "The Demon Lover," I
notice a much more frightening element present in the narrative than what appears to be the
supernatural as this British author highlights her central notion that those who endure abusive
relationships, sustain psychologically scars that may never go away. Although some readers may
believe that Mrs. Drover's former fiancé, K., who had gone to battle in the Great War never to
return, may be fulfilling his promise to "be with [her] . . . sooner or later" (Bowen 145), I contend
that the Mrs. Drover's paranormal experience is more likely a psychological breakdown, suffered by
an abused woman, perhaps brought on by the macrocosm of the world ... Show more content on

After reading the letter which foresees the arrival of her phantom lover at the "hour arranged", Mrs.
Drover with "heighten apprehension" goes to her locked chest and unlatches it, throws "up the lid",
and "searches" perhaps metaphorically for the answer or the cause of her deteriorating mental state
(Bowen 144). Using a flashback, Bowen unlocks the secrets of the protagonist's tortured psyche, as
she recalls herself as a young girl talking with a soldier about to leave for war in the garden that
once existed outside of the house. Imagery pervades her memories, as the uniformed man presses
her hand, "without kindness and painfully" to one of his button on his jacket, as he promises to be
with her "sooner or later" (Bowen 145), more of a threat than an assurance. Later, her mother would
tell her that he "never considered [her]. He was set on [her], that was what it was–not love" (146).
Even after the fiancé is "reported missing" and assumed dead, the protagonist remains "dislocate[ed]
from everything," and when she finally marries, Mrs. Drover's movements remain "circumscribed,"
as she dismisses thoughts that she and her husband are being "watched" (Bowen 145). Clearly,
whatever the abuse that the protagonist suffered, has made a lasting scar. Mentally, she is as
damaged as her

Media Coverage Of Afric The True Nature Of The Culture And...
Media coverage of Africa has exponentially increased in recent times, but the information is rarely
completely accurate and objective. Initiatives to fund global health projects has resulted in the
creation of genius advertising campaigns that appeal to the emotions and humanity of privileged
citizens in first world countries. This campaign has also led to grave misconceptions about the true
nature of the culture and lifestyle that Africans live. The first misconception being that every person
on the whole continent has the same religious beliefs, socioeconomic status, and environmental
surroundings. A satirical article named "How to Write about Africa" draws attention to the
exaggerated usage of the wild landscape, naked mothers, starving children, and white heroes who
come in and save all of the dying babies in Africa (Wainaina, 1992). Anthropologists refer to this
idea of portraying Africa in a certain light in media to elicit a desired public reaction as a "single
story." A majority of media articles in general only present a single story to appeal to their target
audience, but articles about Africa in particular are notorious for painting the picture of a poverty
stricken continent that needs to be saved and few people have enough knowledge about Africa to
contest the media they see everyday. A recent articled named, "Mothers and babies at risk in
Apostolic church birth camps, where modern healthcare seen as 'heathen'" is an example of a piece
of media that tells a

The Birth Control Movement Outline
I. Introduction
a. History of The birth control movement
i. During the Progressive Era, the birth control movement was an essential cause for many activist
women to fight against the prevention of birth control methods. The birth control movement was a
social reform campaign from 1914 to 1945 of which women began to gain sexual freedom and
sexual education.
b. The main issue
i. Many Americans were opposed to birth control and believed that birth control was immoral and
selfish because God made women to bear children and many women were limiting their families to
their own personal comfort. On the other hand, those in favor of birth control believed that it gave
women the right to take control of their own body.
c. The cause of The birth control movement
i. In regards to women's sexual freedoms, laws prohibited women from receiving contraceptives.
This was a major issue pertaining to low–income women who couldn't afford to have a child or
afford the process of abortion. Those who lived in poverty suffered the most because the more
children they had, the more impoverished they become. Even working–class women were banned
from receiving information on birth control; resulting in crude methods of abortion.
d. Influential leader
1. Margaret Sanger was the founder of the birth control movement in America and was credited with
originating the term "birth control. Sanger believed in

How Is The Defeat Of The Conservative Party In 1945 Best...
How is the defeat of the conservative party in 1945 best explained ?
On the 26th July 1945, Clement Attlee lead the labour party to a landslide victory against the
conservative party, represented by wartime hero Winston Churchill. This came as a shock to the
British population, who had not anticipated this outcome. The defeat of the conservative party in
1945 can be best explained by highlighting the contrast between the people and the conservative
party, the conservatives' inability to carry out successful policies, and the strength of the labour
party.
The conservative party had been intent on encouraging the preservation of traditional cultural
values, and relied on putting the power in the hands of elected representatives rather than in the ...

Indeed the labour party had grown stronger during the coalition by promising the people reforms
once the war would be over. These ideas were promoted through effective propaganda, particularly
on the home front, which promised the nationalisation of industry, better housing, free medical
services and employment for all. On the other hand, the conservative party was not in favour of
these reforms: for instance Churchill completely ignored the Beveridge Report, a manifesto of social
reforms, and focused on conducting the war instead. These promised reforms caused the labour
party's popularity to increase as citizens hoped for a better future which in turn weakened the
conservative party. Furthermore, Churchill's confidence and unawareness of this powerful
opposition allowed the labour party to further develop. Churchill had never fallen below 78 per cent
in the approval rating in the opinion polls: consequently the prime minister did not organise his
election campaign strategy appropriately which once again allowed the opposing party to
strengthen. Thus the forceful labour party was able to win a landslide victory against the unprepared

already an incredible example to my seventh grade self before she even knew it. After that day, we
kept in touch as much as possible and met up frequently at different retreats. As we talked, Mallory

America's Family Planning Programs
The Governments notions of modern family differs from the local's traditional ideals of family .In
order to change the local culture from having traditionally larger families for social security, to
smaller ones, governments implement a national family planning program. Family planning
programs are most commonly applied to areas with high birth rates such as China, India and java in
Indonesia, in attempt to lower population, however, in the case of Greece's family planning, it aims
to reduce women's abortion rates. In many countries, governments have ulterior motives for
reducing population, some are positive, aiming to increase women's health but most commonly the
case is that families only provide economical benefits and development for the country. A decline in
population means that the government can invest more "per capita in education and health, thus
creating the human capital for sustained economic growth" (S. Sinding, 08). The Government
"planned population numbers in the same way it planned the production of goods" (Anders, 2014),
which resulted in physical and emotional turmoil for families across the world.
Countries differ in conventional family criteria, however the quintessential modern family consists,
health and social wellbeing of relations and the belief that having a child results in social security
and happiness. Family culture in certain countries has been damaged due to past coercive interfering
with family planning, as governments try and mold local

that it is evident that Arnold Palmer Hospital is attempting to acquire capacity to stay ahead of

Also, they need to look at the economic situation in the area as well. By that I mean looking at

Women Have the Burden of Birth Control
Worrying about getting pregnant is a pain that everyone who is sexually active has to face, or should
face. The question is, who does that burden of worrying about getting pregnant fall on. As evidence
will show, women take most of the burden or responsibility when it comes to providing
contraception during sex. Women have more invested when it comes to sex due to the consequences
that result from failing to protect against pregnancy. Looking at the burden of contraception in four
different ways, the time involved, the cost of birth control, the physical side effects of contraception,
and the effect due to failure of contraception.

"Some men and/or women have allergic reactions to the rubber used to make latex condoms"
(Condoms).
Birth control is not 100% effective, it can fail just like any other form of contraception. Birth control
pills contain two hormones estrogen and progestin. The different types of birth control pills a
woman can take all have different amounts of each hormone. As a woman gets older her body's
hormones that it naturally produces will change causing the amount of each hormone that is needed
to change, because of the changing hormone levels, it can cause a women's birth control pills to be

Birth Control Is The Practice Of Preventing Unwanted...
Imagine you ran out of your favorite toothpaste but instead of just running to the nearest drug store
you have to call your doctor's office, set an appointment, receive a prescription then go to the
pharmacy to have it filled just to get a new tube of toothpaste. Obviously people do not have to go
through this process just to get toothpaste but they do in fact have to go through this process to
obtain birth control pills. According to merriam–webster.com, birth control is the practice of
preventing unwanted pregnancies; it used all around the world. There are many different
contraceptive types that people use to prevent unwanted pregnancies, including, but not limited to,
condoms, vaginal rings, sponges, implants, shots, abstinence, and birth control pills. Practicing safe
sex should be ready option for all people. Men wear condoms while women take birth control; it is
as simple as that. However, why is it that anyone can buy condoms, but in order for a woman to get
birth control, she must have a prescription? This paper will explain the health benefits of birth
control, discuss the consequences of not having direct access to the pill, and the effects of making
birth control more accessible. Over–the–counter access to the pill could be a game–changer for
public health, eliminating an unnecessary barrier to a highly effective form of birth control. The
benefits of providing birth control pills over the counter far outweigh the risks and as a society we

Discuss how Sherriff presents human weakness and frailty in Journeys End
Journeys End was written with the intention of "letting the war speak". The lives of the officers on
the front line during 1917 are examined. A key theme that is explored throughout the play is the
reactions of the mind and body, under the stress of the war. Each character represents the weakness
of the human being in an individual way, but the character on which frailty is mainly focussed is
Stanhope.
Stanhope is the topic of many conversations within the dugout and the first conversation we see,
Stanhope is mentioned. The conversation is between Osborne, the second in command, and the
commanding officer of the company being relieved. The commander inquires as to ... Show more

Sherriff shows this to the audience by having Raleigh describe the war like a game at school, using
words such as "cricket" and "rugger", which show the youth, innocence and naivety of Raleigh.
When the reality becomes clear, Raleigh's attitude towards the war changes dramatically.
The death of Raleigh at the end of the play sums up his characteristics in the best possible way, his
innocence is shown until his final moments when he compares the wound in his back to be "just the
same" as getting "kicked" in a game of "rugger". His death signifies much more than the passing of
one soldier, added with Raleigh passing, the candle flame extinguishing, shows the death of society
in 1917 and of innocence, showing how nothing could return to the way it was in the years previous
to the war.
After the raid which occurs near the end of the play, Raleigh's view on the war has changed after he
witnesses the first deaths of people he knew. He questions as to how Stanhope can stay drinking
"champagne" whilst Osborne's body is "lying–out there". Again this shows the audience just how
naïve Raleigh is, as he has never experienced the loss of someone close to him and the effect that the
war has on people.
Despite Raleigh's innocence and weakness, he is determined to fight until the end, showing that his
character (although naïve) has

Many diseases have been discovered, studied, and are diagnosed to many individuals of different
ages today. Of all individuals premature babies are prime to acquiring diseases, as their immune
system has not reached full term. Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) derives from a European literature
that help define the disease as, "necrotizing" meaning death of tissues, "entero" referring to the small

only premature neonates are found to be involved in case–controlled studies. 8 X–rays can show the

many research findings and studies available medical researchers are able to help narrow the
understanding of NEC in the symptoms, causation, and medical treatment.
Infants with NEC are those 5% of infants who are most sick found in the NICU that display a large
amount of morbidity and mortality and low rate of survival. 3,13,14 Once an infant is diagnosed
with NEC there is little treatment that can differ the course of the disease. 8 The studies with NEC
have been able to help researchers with diagnosis, but it remains baffling.9 The treatment of NEC is
difficult, and faulty, pathogenesis is still to be proven, and no effective prevention strategy has been
complied with.9 With the lack of improvement shown in the mortality rate for NEC over the past
years, medical investigators have to re–examine epidemiologic factors involved with NEC to search
for strategies to prevent and treat the disease. 8

Social Movements and Trends
Women have always fought for the right of equality and control of their bodies. Many instances
occurred throughout history that supported a woman's fight for equal representation and fair
legislation, especially for those who were impoverished. This paper will discuss three articles from
1968 to 1977 that outline women's battles against the government and the legal system regarding
abortion and sterilization. The article details instances in which the government pursued unlawful
sterilization as a form of birth control, or denied public funding to poverty stricken women who ...

Not only was birth control taboo, but so was any form of unnatural contraception outside of the
rhythm method. Sterilization was disapproved, and refused to women as a means of birth control by
many hospitals at the time (New York Times, 1971). Women were discouraged from embracing the
idea to exercise control relating to when they would stop having children. This proved to be yet
another form of unfair judgment forced upon women by uninformed officials. The New York Civil
Liberties Union was notified to help Mrs. Caparelli fight this method of inappropriate control by
hospital officials (New York Times, 1971).
Article Three: Abortion Cutoff Causing Hardship For Poor Women Around Country
This final article explains that the government refuses to pay for abortions of women dependent
upon public assistance (Roberts, 1977). Author Steven Roberts, wrote that because women on public
assistance were refused financial assistance to acquire abortions, many opting for illegal abortions
endangered their lives. Not only were facilities not up to code, but many performing the procedure
were not medically approved to do so. As a result, these lower income women had a difficult time
acquiring abortion services because many health care facilities refused to carry out the practice. In
the end, many women accepted unwanted pregnancies, become more impoverished, and tried to
make the best of unplanned situations.

The Pros And Cons Of Birth Control
Since the beginning of mankind, humans have found and used different forms of contraception to
prevent pregnancy. One of the first recorded cases was from 1550 BCE when Egyptians used honey,
acacia leaves, and lint to block sperm from entering the uterus. Since then, birth control has grown
in popularity, uses, and types. 92% of sexually active women have used some form of birth control
and 68% of those women are currently still using it. 67% of women use nonpermanent contraception
methods such as IUDs, the pill, the patch, etc., while 25% of women rely on sterilization and the
other 8% rely on male contraception such as condoms. While some see no issue with birth control
and its uses, others have very strong beliefs against it. The most recorded issues with birth control
are religious affiliations, parental influences, and political views. To begin with, there are certain
religious faiths that have strong beliefs against birth control and its use within its community. Such
religions include different forms of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and others. An issue revolving
around birth control from a religious standpoint is physicians allowing their religious believes to
stand in the way of medicine. Curlin et al discusses a study done on whether doctors with religious
backgrounds would practice medicine that went against their beliefs, stating "To determine whether

Personal Characteristics Of An Individual
Personal characteristics lead to the development of the personality of an individual. As a female, my

My essay will include a plan for three days from the 26th of April to the 28th of April, where the

I start all my days by taking a shower for about 20 minutes after I wake up at 10 am. After I had

have. In sports you always want to be the best, that's why you play the game. You lift weights and

Basically what the Bounty scandal is was Greg Williams and the defensive players pooling money
together and putting up bounty's on certain players which means the bigger the hit the more money
that player would get out of that pool or if they were able to take him out of the game with either a
concussion or a broken bone than that player gets almost all the money. Needless to say after the
NFL found out about what was going on there were a lot of suspensions and fines given out to the
main people that were involved. The head coach Sean Peyton was suspended from the league for 1
year without pay. The GM Mickey Loomis was suspended for 8 games (half a season) without pay.
The entire Saints organization was fined $500,000 and the losing of 2 second round draft picks one
in 2012 and one in 2013. Defensive Coordinator Greg Williams got the worst out of everybody, he
was suspended indefinitely, at the end of season he will meet with the commissioner to try and get
his job back and get reinstated in the league. The assistant head coach was suspended for 6 games
and fined $100,000. Also their were four players who got suspended by the league but only one
player got suspended for the entire season and that was Linebacker Johnathon Vilma. Even though
the Saints appealed the suspensions of the GM and the coaches they all got denied and all the rulings
stayed. The players however

Planned Parenthood Research Paper
Founding of Interest Group
Planned Parenthood was founded in 1916 by Margaret Sanger, her sister and her friend. It all started
when they opened America's first birth control clinic in Brooklyn, New York. Women didn't have
very many rights back then so it was hard to obtain information on birth control or contraception.
the Comstock Laws were responsible for making contraception illegal. They decided to make a
change and start Planned Parenthood. Sanger decided to open the clinic because she had seen the
pain of her mother having 18 pregnancies, bore 11 children and died at the age of 40. She wanted to
help the other women who were having unwanted pregnancies to have a form of prevention. Sanger
keeps on fighting though and founds The Birth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We are especially focused on are young female adults and 3rd world countries who tend to have
higher unplanned pregnancies and STI rates. Our interest group is interested specifically in
attracting women ages 15 to 44 to prevent unwanted pregnancies. You can see this through our ads.
Most of our ads are aimed at ending teen pregnancy. This means that we will aim to show ads at
times and on channels that attract that kind of audience. These ads aren't promoting people to join
Planned Parenthood though they are more informational. We also have all the information of our
upcoming activities on our website and you can sign up for "action alerts" which is an email
newsletter that automatically updates and notifies you about our interest group's activities. If you
don't want to sign up for the "action alerts", you can also get your information from their many
social media accounts. We have active use of Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube and Instagram
which are constantly updated with pictures and information of fundraisers and other special events.
Our interest group has specific social media accounts for different types of people and purposes, for
example was have a Twitter account for the Planned Parenthood Black Community and a Facebook
specifically for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. Another distinct form of media that our

Deere quarterly sales analysis Essay
TO: JB Penn, Chief Economist, Deere & Co.
FROM:
DATE: 29 October 2014
SUBJECT: Quarterly sales analysis
Following an analysis of sales data between 1995 and 2012, it is recommended that that Deere and
Co. incorporate the seasonal indicator variables model to forecast future sales. In the regression
analysis for this model it was determined that it was able to explain approximately
90% of the variability in past sales. Adjustments to this forecasting model can be made by
incorporating overall economic climate projections, long–term weather forecasts, and commodity
market futures.
As evidenced in the sales plot, from January 31, 1995 through July 31, 2014 John Deere has enjoyed
steady sales growth with seasonal peaks recorded at end of ... Show more content on

If a strong correlation exists, forecasts of these variables could be coupled with the sales forecasts to
strengthen or adjust future sales predictions.

The Birth Control Pill
According to the Oxford American College Dictionary, power is the capacity or ability to direct or
influence the behavior of others or the course of events. In order to gain the most power humanly
possibly you do not have to be remembered, your action needs to be remembered. Power is the
ability to help others benefit out of an action. If given the opportunity to go back in time to
irrevocably alter the future, I would take the opportunity to invent the birth control pill in advance of
time. During World War II U.S. soldiers were supplied with condoms, another way of birth control,
however it's less effective than other methods we have now, such as the pill. Harvard historian Allan
Brandt wrote in No Magic Bullet: A Social History of Venereal ... Show more content on

From 1955–1965, 42% of Americans of reproductive age relied on condoms for birth control. In
Britain from 1950–1960, 60% of married couples used condoms" (Condoms and Sponges).
Although the idea of this pill was before World War II, the pill was made available to the public in
1960. If those using condoms were aware of the stronger ability the pill had over the condom, the
pill would have all power. Condom selling companies would try to overpower us with their
promotion during World War II but to prevent that we would use propaganda and allow the public to
see statics of being impregnated using these two methods. Although the FDA or allied soldiers
would want to ban this pill, mass pills would be made and distributed to all locals.
Some benefits of providing women with the pill would be less suffrage of children of unplanned
pregnancies. The greater use of the pill and evidence showing it works would possibly lead to a
different population throughout the world. The pill would definitely be not expensive to provide for
all.
Inventing the birth control pill before it was approved by the FDA and during a time necessary
would gain me the most power humanly possibly: not because I, myself am powerful, but because
that tiny pill is most

Feds Vs Anti-Feds

  • 1. Feds vs Anti-Feds Hamilton Vs. Jefferson December 29, 2006 by Ando hamjeff.jpg I had intended to post Part II of the WWI question last night, but got caught up doing movie reviews on Life of Ando. So to slake your ravenous historical thirst in the meantime, here is my assignment from my history class this past week. If you're really into American history and how the politics of the early Republic shook out, Jefferson vs. Hamilton is a great study. It's also a little, I guess comforting, to know that as bad as we think today's politicians are, politics was always a very dirty game. Like Bismarck said, "Laws are like sausages. Better to not see them being made." And as Ecclesiastes says, "There's nothing new under the sun." 1) How did the political ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, without Hamilton's counter–balance Jefferson's policies may have left the government weak and ineffectual to deal with major crises both at home and abroad. Each viewpoint needed the other to create a government that would be strong enough to protect itself and it's people from internal and external strife, but not so strong that it would infringe on the rights of the people as enumerated in the Bill of Rights and in the Revolutionary spirit. These issues, of course, weren't resolved or ceased to be relevant after Hamilton and Jefferson left the scene. These are still very much the issues we deal with even now, over 200 years later. As much as we might dislike, or even hate, the position of the "other" party, without some balance both sides would undoubtedly abuse their power...more than they already do. 4) List at least 3 sources in proper bibliographic format. No Wiki sources. Frank, Mitch. "Jefferson vs. Hamilton or Group Hug." American Partisan. Dec. 28 2006. http://www.american–partisan.com/cols/frank/111799.htm "Hamilton vs. Jefferson." • 4. Child Soldiers: Converting Innocent Children into Armed... "I would like to give you a message, please do your best to tell the world what is happening to us, the children. So that other children do not have to pass through this violence." These are the words of a 15–year–old girl in Uganda. Like her, there are an estimated 300,000 children under the age of eighteen who are serving as child soldiers in about thirty–six conflict zones (Shaikh). Life on the front lines often brings children face to face with the horrors of war. Too many children have personally experienced or witnessed physical violence, including executions, death squad killings, disappearances, torture, arrest, sexual abuse, bombings, forced displacement, destruction of home, and massacres. Over the past ten years, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is the same situation that Juliet faced: "Young girls were forced into sexual relationships with men who were above our age. I was forced to become a rebel's wife. They said "no issues" either you go with this man or we kill you. I got pregnant at a very early age with that man" ("Juliet's Journey"). There are no excuses that can justify the treatment of child soldiers. Children are among the saddest victims of conflict: they rarely emerge from military service with a sense of their own worth and identity. Worse, they often experience violence that leaves them physically or psychologically scarred. Facing a difficult adolescence, many turn to drugs, alcohol, and anti–social behavior. No child should ever have to face the horrors and lasting effects of war. While child soldiers exist in many countries all over the world, there is a dire need in Chad to find a solution to this problem. Chad, located in north– central Africa, has seen a growing number of child soldiers over the past few years. It is estimated that there exists approximately 7,000 to 10,000 child soldiers in armed forces across Chad. This epidemic in Chad is mainly caused by the recurring civil war (Child Soldiers International, "Better Than Cure"). Rebel forces have made numerous attempts to overthrow Idriss Deby, who rose to power in 1989 and remains the current president. In 2005, and early 2006, rebel forces located in Sudan's Darfur region gained strength as well as sponsorship from the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although I do have severe allergies from my recent visit to the allergist I have found that I am allergic to every kind of tree, mold, dust, animal (cat and dog), and pollen. Minor infections like colds and the flu are also less likely to happen if you eat plenty of fruits like kiwi, raspberries, blueberries, and citrus fruit, because these fruits offer high levels of vitamin C (dailymail UK, 2002). This is why increasing fruit intake is important because you will receive high levels of vitamin C which can reduce the risk of you getting sick, and it prevents deterioration of memory. I recommend that everybody increase their fruit uptake to get the benefits of a healthier life. Methods you could try are eating three different types of fruit a day so you don't get tired of a fruit. Also you could eat fruit as a snack instead of ice cream, chips, candy etc. Behavior Modification Plan My measureable goal was to eat three servings of fruit a day by April 22, 2017. In order to make sure I adhere to my target goal I will eat three different fruits in a day so I won't get sick of a certain fruit. I also choose to eat half a cup of blueberries a day to help stimulate new brain cells (dailymail UK, 2017). At the beginning I didn 't like blueberries at all, but now have a obsession with them. From one small pill, new channels that were once dammed to a trickle became a mighty flood again. With the ability to prevent pregnancy without risking a dangerous abortion women found the strength to fight against male–dominated areas that were still left untouched from the first series of movements by their predecessors. From how long they were involved in the workforce to stepping up for their rights and changing laws, women came alive with a renewed ferocity with just one small pill. These were significant changes but the one's that came with the pill when it was deemed safer were even more extraordinary from 1970 to 1980. Kant’s Practical Imperative in the Film The Insider Essay This principle is referred to as Kant's practical imperative and is an important principle for an ethical system which says that each human being is an end in himself or herself. No human being should be thought of or used merely as a means for someone else end. Dr. Jeffrey Wigand the main protagonist of "The Insider" portrays himself to be a conflicted individual as he makes decisions throughout the movie. Against an undetermined future, he ruminates about what he knows is right for example, receiving threats, the phone ringing at odd hours. He makes most of his decisions by weighing the cost and benefits, which may be referred to as Kant's principle the "end justifies the means".Analysis of Wigand if he had to disclose the information ... • 29. The Theory Of The Birth Territory Theory Essay The theory I selected to apply to the above situation is the Birth Territory theory. This theory was created from empirical data collected by the authors who serve as both midwives and researchers. It has a critical post–structural feminist undertone and elaborates on the ideas of Michel Foucault. The Birth Territory theory predicts and elaborates on the relationships between jurisdiction (use of authority and influence), terrain (the birthing environment), and personal emotional and physiological experience by the mother. This nurse–midwifery theory was chosen because both of the major concepts directly correlate with the incident and are critical aspects of labor and delivery situations. MAYBE ELABORATE A diagram of the Birth Territory theory can be seen in Appendix A. Key concepts included in this theory are terrain and jurisdiction. Sub–concepts listed under terrain include ' 'surveillance room' and sanctum'. Sub–concepts listed under jurisdiction include 'midwifery guardianship', 'integrative power', 'midwifery domination', and 'disintegrative power'. 'Terrain' signifies the aspects of the birth environment. These include physical and geographical features such as the birthing furniture, as labor and birthing accessories, and personal support systems (birthing partner). 'Terrain' includes two sub–concepts: 'sanctum' and 'surveillance room'. A 'sanctum' is a homely birthing environment optimally designed to promote a private, healthy labor and birth. The Supernatural In Elizabeth Bowen's The Demon Lover With a close examination of Elizabeth Bowen's suspenseful short story, "The Demon Lover," I notice a much more frightening element present in the narrative than what appears to be the supernatural as this British author highlights her central notion that those who endure abusive relationships, sustain psychologically scars that may never go away. Although some readers may believe that Mrs. Drover's former fiancé, K., who had gone to battle in the Great War never to return, may be fulfilling his promise to "be with [her] . . . sooner or later" (Bowen 145), I contend that the Mrs. Drover's paranormal experience is more likely a psychological breakdown, suffered by an abused woman, perhaps brought on by the macrocosm of the world ... Using a flashback, Bowen unlocks the secrets of the protagonist's tortured psyche, as she recalls herself as a young girl talking with a soldier about to leave for war in the garden that once existed outside of the house. Imagery pervades her memories, as the uniformed man presses her hand, "without kindness and painfully" to one of his button on his jacket, as he promises to be with her "sooner or later" (Bowen 145), more of a threat than an assurance. Later, her mother would tell her that he "never considered [her]. He was set on [her], that was what it was–not love" (146). Even after the fiancé is "reported missing" and assumed dead, the protagonist remains "dislocate[ed] from everything," and when she finally marries, Mrs. Drover's movements remain "circumscribed," as she dismisses thoughts that she and her husband are being "watched" (Bowen 145). • 44. Media Coverage Of Afric The True Nature Of The Culture And... Media coverage of Africa has exponentially increased in recent times, but the information is rarely completely accurate and objective. Initiatives to fund global health projects has resulted in the creation of genius advertising campaigns that appeal to the emotions and humanity of privileged citizens in first world countries. This campaign has also led to grave misconceptions about the true nature of the culture and lifestyle that Africans live. The first misconception being that every person on the whole continent has the same religious beliefs, socioeconomic status, and environmental surroundings. A satirical article named "How to Write about Africa" draws attention to the exaggerated usage of the wild landscape, naked mothers, starving children, and white heroes who come in and save all of the dying babies in Africa (Wainaina, 1992). Anthropologists refer to this idea of portraying Africa in a certain light in media to elicit a desired public reaction as a "single story." A majority of media articles in general only present a single story to appeal to their target audience, but articles about Africa in particular are notorious for painting the picture of a poverty stricken continent that needs to be saved and few people have enough knowledge about Africa to contest the media they see everyday. A recent articled named, "Mothers and babies at risk in Apostolic church birth camps, where modern healthcare seen as 'heathen'" is an example of a piece of media that tells a ... • 46. The Birth Control Movement : Outline Of The Birth Control... Ashley Wilson History 110 Professor Rosalski November 15, 2017 The Birth Control Movement Outline I. Introduction a. History of The birth control movement i. During the Progressive Era, the birth control movement was an essential cause for many activist women to fight against the prevention of birth control methods. The birth control movement was a social reform campaign from 1914 to 1945 of which women began to gain sexual freedom and sexual education. b. The main issue i. Many Americans were opposed to birth control and believed that birth control was immoral and selfish because God made women to bear children and many women were limiting their families to their own personal comfort. On the other hand, those in favor of birth control believed that it gave women the right to take control of their own body. c. The cause of The birth control movement i. In regards to women's sexual freedoms, laws prohibited women from receiving contraceptives. This was a major issue pertaining to low–income women who couldn't afford to have a child or afford the process of abortion. Those who lived in poverty suffered the most because the more children they had, the more impoverished they become. Even working–class women were banned from receiving information on birth control; resulting in crude methods of abortion. d. Influential leader 1. Margaret Sanger was the founder of the birth control movement in America and was credited with originating the term "birth control. Sanger believed in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 48. How Is The Defeat Of The Conservative Party In 1945 Best... How is the defeat of the conservative party in 1945 best explained ? On the 26th July 1945, Clement Attlee lead the labour party to a landslide victory against the conservative party, represented by wartime hero Winston Churchill. This came as a shock to the British population, who had not anticipated this outcome. The defeat of the conservative party in 1945 can be best explained by highlighting the contrast between the people and the conservative party, the conservatives' inability to carry out successful policies, and the strength of the labour party. The conservative party had been intent on encouraging the preservation of traditional cultural values, and relied on putting the power in the hands of elected representatives rather than in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Indeed the labour party had grown stronger during the coalition by promising the people reforms once the war would be over. These ideas were promoted through effective propaganda, particularly on the home front, which promised the nationalisation of industry, better housing, free medical services and employment for all. On the other hand, the conservative party was not in favour of these reforms: for instance Churchill completely ignored the Beveridge Report, a manifesto of social reforms, and focused on conducting the war instead. These promised reforms caused the labour party's popularity to increase as citizens hoped for a better future which in turn weakened the conservative party. Furthermore, Churchill's confidence and unawareness of this powerful opposition allowed the labour party to further develop. Churchill had never fallen below 78 per cent in the approval rating in the opinion polls: consequently the prime minister did not organise his election campaign strategy appropriately which once again allowed the opposing party to strengthen. Thus the forceful labour party was able to win a landslide victory against the unprepared ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Mallory will forever be one of my best friends, the strongest person I've ever known, and my role model. Without her, I never would have learned how truly important life is; and not just our own, everyone around us. I could see it in Mal, that love for everyone she came in contact with. She wanted every single person who met her to leave with a smile, I know I certainly did. When I first met Mallory Norrell, my first thought was, how can someone be that happy ALL THE TIME? It was a warm, October day. But to me, it was a horrible day to be cramped in a car heading to the Grand Rapids church with about five people I didn't know for a 24 hour retreat. But once we got there, I was introduced to Mal. She immediately welcomed me with open arms and proceeded tell me all about her her house between Hibbing and Duluth, homeschooling, and her sister, who was also Mal's best friend, Brie. Needless to say, we became fast friends. She was already an incredible example to my seventh grade self before she even knew it. After that day, we kept in touch as much as possible and met up frequently at different retreats. As we talked, Mallory started to tell me about some pain that started in her jaw and slowly moved down her neck. At first they thought it was a toothache or some kind of bruise in her jaw. • 56. America's Family Planning Programs The Governments notions of modern family differs from the local's traditional ideals of family .In order to change the local culture from having traditionally larger families for social security, to smaller ones, governments implement a national family planning program. Family planning programs are most commonly applied to areas with high birth rates such as China, India and java in Indonesia, in attempt to lower population, however, in the case of Greece's family planning, it aims to reduce women's abortion rates. In many countries, governments have ulterior motives for reducing population, some are positive, aiming to increase women's health but most commonly the case is that families only provide economical benefits and development for the country. A decline in population means that the government can invest more "per capita in education and health, thus creating the human capital for sustained economic growth" (S. Sinding, 08). The Government "planned population numbers in the same way it planned the production of goods" (Anders, 2014), which resulted in physical and emotional turmoil for families across the world. Countries differ in conventional family criteria, however the quintessential modern family consists, health and social wellbeing of relations and the belief that having a child results in social security and happiness. Imagine you ran out of your favorite toothpaste but instead of just running to the nearest drug store you have to call your doctor's office, set an appointment, receive a prescription then go to the pharmacy to have it filled just to get a new tube of toothpaste. Obviously people do not have to go through this process just to get toothpaste but they do in fact have to go through this process to obtain birth control pills. According to merriam–webster.com, birth control is the practice of preventing unwanted pregnancies; it used all around the world. There are many different contraceptive types that people use to prevent unwanted pregnancies, including, but not limited to, condoms, vaginal rings, sponges, implants, shots, abstinence, and birth control pills. Practicing safe sex should be ready option for all people. Men wear condoms while women take birth control; it is as simple as that. However, why is it that anyone can buy condoms, but in order for a woman to get birth control, she must have a prescription? This paper will explain the health benefits of birth control, discuss the consequences of not having direct access to the pill, and the effects of making birth control more accessible. Over–the–counter access to the pill could be a game–changer for public health, eliminating an unnecessary barrier to a highly effective form of birth control. The lives of the officers on the front line during 1917 are examined. A key theme that is explored throughout the play is the reactions of the mind and body, under the stress of the war. Each character represents the weakness of the human being in an individual way, but the character on which frailty is mainly focussed is Stanhope. Sherriff shows this to the audience by having Raleigh describe the war like a game at school, using words such as "cricket" and "rugger", which show the youth, innocence and naivety of Raleigh. When the reality becomes clear, Raleigh's attitude towards the war changes dramatically. The death of Raleigh at the end of the play sums up his characteristics in the best possible way, his innocence is shown until his final moments when he compares the wound in his back to be "just the same" as getting "kicked" in a game of "rugger". His death signifies much more than the passing of one soldier, added with Raleigh passing, the candle flame extinguishing, shows the death of society in 1917 and of innocence, showing how nothing could return to the way it was in the years previous to the war. After the raid which occurs near the end of the play, Raleigh's view on the war has changed after he witnesses the first deaths of people he knew. He questions as to how Stanhope can stay drinking "champagne" whilst Osborne's body is "lying–out there". Again this shows the audience just how naïve Raleigh is, as he has never experienced the loss of someone close to him and the effect that the war has on people. Despite Raleigh's innocence and weakness, he is determined to fight until the end, showing that his character (although naïve) has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many instances occurred throughout history that supported a woman's fight for equal representation and fair legislation, especially for those who were impoverished. This paper will discuss three articles from 1968 to 1977 that outline women's battles against the government and the legal system regarding abortion and sterilization. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not only was birth control taboo, but so was any form of unnatural contraception outside of the rhythm method. Sterilization was disapproved, and refused to women as a means of birth control by many hospitals at the time (New York Times, 1971). Women were discouraged from embracing the idea to exercise control relating to when they would stop having children. This proved to be yet another form of unfair judgment forced upon women by uninformed officials. The New York Civil Liberties Union was notified to help Mrs. Caparelli fight this method of inappropriate control by hospital officials (New York Times, 1971). Article Three: Abortion Cutoff Causing Hardship For Poor Women Around Country This final article explains that the government refuses to pay for abortions of women dependent upon public assistance (Roberts, 1977). Author Steven Roberts, wrote that because women on public assistance were refused financial assistance to acquire abortions, many opting for illegal abortions endangered their lives. Not only were facilities not up to code, but many performing the procedure were not medically approved to do so. As a result, these lower income women had a difficult time acquiring abortion services because many health care facilities refused to carry out the practice. One of the first recorded cases was from 1550 BCE when Egyptians used honey, acacia leaves, and lint to block sperm from entering the uterus. Since then, birth control has grown in popularity, uses, and types. 92% of sexually active women have used some form of birth control and 68% of those women are currently still using it. 67% of women use nonpermanent contraception methods such as IUDs, the pill, the patch, etc., while 25% of women rely on sterilization and the other 8% rely on male contraception such as condoms. While some see no issue with birth control and its uses, others have very strong beliefs against it. The most recorded issues with birth control are religious affiliations, parental influences, and political views. To begin with, there are certain religious faiths that have strong beliefs against birth control and its use within its community. In order to gain the most power humanly possibly you do not have to be remembered, your action needs to be remembered. Power is the ability to help others benefit out of an action. If given the opportunity to go back in time to irrevocably alter the future, I would take the opportunity to invent the birth control pill in advance of time. During World War II U.S. soldiers were supplied with condoms, another way of birth control, however it's less effective than other methods we have now, such as the pill.
