• Bagha subdivision is located on the Indo Nepal border.
River Gandak flows through the subdivision. Heavy rains in
the Hills of Nepal result in sudden rise in water level
flooding the villages on the bank of the river. The water
level usually recedes in 3-4 days unless there are incessant
rains.
• A sudden flash flood in Bagaha subdivision affected people
from 6 villages of 4 Panchayats who live along the river
bank. This resulted in marooning of nearly 9000 families.
