1. The Gateway to oneness
with tantric massage

2. The best possible therapeutic sessions are not the ones that focus on the superficial
level, but go to the core, taking time to go a little deeper, shining light and new
perspective upon us, returning us back to wellness. Being out of balance, just what
does that mean on apracticalsense?well let’s think about it, on some level, something
has become separated, so when we think of that back pain, or that dodgy knee, or
drop in libido for example, rather than thinking of these as separate entities,
remember that your whole body is connected to the whole– the pain or discomfort
we feel in a physical area or on an emotional level is there to make as aware – that
somewhere along the line is off centre, that we have become out of balance from our
natural state of being.
So in that case how exactly can tantric massage bring about wholeness? In our heart,
we know what we want to say, act, and be, we spend countless time and energy
inhibiting what our hearts desire, conforming to social norms, religious, cultural, peer
pressure, parental, colleagues or partners views, the list of people who influence our
decision of how to react and how to be is endless.
Tantra uses breath work – allowing us to switchfocus and bring attention to something
that is very easilytaken for granted, how we breathe is very important, for it is not only
our lungs that breath, our ribs, belly alsomove and every cellin our body needs oxygen
to survive, so learning to slow down and breath deeper can help, nourishing us, letting
go of tension, calming the mind and allow for us to experience being in our physical
bodies. Try taking a moment now, close your eyes, what is the first thing that you
notice, is it your thoughts? Is it those aching shoulders, is it the movement of your
chest, ribs as your breathe…?
Any discomfort/ache etc. you feel is a message that something is out of balance /
become separatedsomehow from the rest.I don’t know about you, but the movement
of my chest and ribs as I breathed was not what I first noticed, our breath is the knot
– tying the body and mind together, and in a society which is fast paced and often
sedentary, using breath work can be extremely beneficial.
Tantric massageuses breathing techniques so that once in a more relaxedstatewe can
begin to explore our senses, our bodies, the sensations we can feel without inhibition,
without the endless chatter of the mind, allowing our natural way to be expressed.
The massageallows forexploration of not only aphysicalrecognition of being touched,
what feels good, what is pleasant, what is not so pleasant, challenging the mind, it
uses the entire body and allof the senses,to bring awareness and allowing this to help
regain balance, helping to reunite both body and mind and bring about this balance.
Tantra means weaving, tying together, in this respect it involves being free to follow
our hearts, to do what we feel is the right thing, being authentic, what feels good,
following our bliss will also bring about a balance and passion to our lives. Tantra is
alsoconcerned with tying the mind and body againas one whole being, the separation
3. of the mind and the body is a very western ideology – Tantra’ Easternorigins represent
a slightly different slant on this. Another aspect of tantric massage surrender,
surrender and let go of your thoughts about a situation and experience it – whether it
is pleasant or challenging – there is no way to preconceive how something will feel
until where are there experiencing it at the time, of course there are always themental
aspect of expectations to contend with, it is not always so easy to simply allow
whatever arises to unfold without having a reaction to it. Although subtle, tantric
massage can help bring about balance, as it teaches us to follow our hearts, passions,
desires and pleasures, it encourages us to explore, express our most authentic selves,
speaking our truth and to become more relaxed, refreshed, and grounded connecting
mind and body.

Tantra embraces coming back to balance, recognizing and celebrating we are multi-
faceted and that our sexuality is also a natural expression within us all and that this
