Brief Description of Opening scene/Title Sequence:
Opening scene/Title sequence, the location would be in a art
show/exhibition and the camera would show the different art pieces
(Paintings) etc, the titles would appear when showing the art pieces and
music would be playing etc (either non-diegetic or diegetic sound) and at the
end it would show the protagonist presenting her art piece to her audience.
What will I see/hear:
 Black Screen
 Sound Bridge - Classical music (Non-Diegetic) playing - Major key - Long
motif
 Cut to shots of a painting in the art show/exhibition (zooming/close
up) - Music continues to play (melodically)
 Titles start to appear at the bottom edge of the painting
 Lighting - High key of the painting but the titles quite dark colours
(giving sense of darkness, reinforce the thriller genre)
 Dolly shot and Camera pans to the left to the next painting
 More titles appearing
 Continuation of more Dolly shots and Camera pans, then showing of
the next painting and more titles appearing (Moving around the art
exhibition)
 Finally the camera moves to the protagonist painting (wide shot)
slowly starts to zoom in to the painting creating suspense
 Non-diegetic music gradually crescendos/dynamics to build
tension/emphasis on the protagonist painting
 Final title appears in the middle of the painting
 Black Screen
 Non-diegetic sounds suddenly stops
 Camera pans to the right and then the film starts with the protagonist
presenting her art piece to her audience
