1. Treatment –Food from around the World
Overall theme:
The overall theme that I have chosen is going to be ‘Food from around the world. I chose this
because I found that it was the public’s second favourite choice. I know this judging from my results
from the survey I created.
This food will include different types of cultural food. For example: Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mexican
and American. The recipe cards I will be making will include these types of foods but will not contain
any meat specifically to fit the brief that has been set. Depending on which culture the recipe card
will involve, there will be a mixture of main courses and starters.
My audience:
This idea was the second favourite choice by the public from when I did the survey. The people who
liked this idea were mainly female between the ages 17-20. I think that because this is one of the
most popular interesting foods that people chose, this says that the people who chose this may be
spontaneous people who are interested in trying something new and exciting. This is because food
from around the world may be very different to what these people normally eat.
Production Method:
I think that this particular interest in food would be good with an A5 sized laminated recipe card.
This is because the food that i am particularly talking about seems very sophisticated and doesn’t
need anything fancy to finish it off.
Treatment – Pie and Peas
Overall Theme:
The overall theme here is pie and peas. This is basically a pie filled with veggie’s favourite dishes,
with a side order of mushy or garden peas.
My audience:
The audience for this type of recipe card will be over 20’s because more adults are interested in this
type of food than what young children and teenagers. I would suspect that it would be males more
interested in pie and peas as you hear of most men eating this kind of food at football games, pubs
or other social events.
Production Method:
I think that this type of food would have a recipe card in the shape of a pie and have dark and dull
colours. Depending on what fillings will be in the pie, i think that colours will vary. If I was to produce
this Pie and Peas recipe card, I would like it laminated as I like the laminated effect.
