2. Age
Pop has a wide variety of target audiences which
can be from the age of 11+ depending on the
language used by the artists and the context of
the video.
Although the target audience may not be aimed
at that age but the fact is that children still listen
to artists from the pop genre as it is not one type
of music e.g. Classic. There is a wide range of
different styles of pop music such as rap and rnb
which can also come under the pop genre as they
are popular types of music which means that this
genre has a wider target audience.
3. Gender
Today we have more female music artists than we do
males. However this depends on the type of music
genre e.g. Males are most likely to make rap songs
than females which means their target audience will
be males as they would look up to the music artist
they listen to and want to become like.
On the other hand for pop in general there are more
female singers like Cher Lloyd which means that
young teenage girls will look up to her and see her a
role model as she is a young lady who knows what
she wants and is independent and as a result they
would listen to her songs and feel as if they were
made for them.
4. Interests
The interest of pop target audience can vary
as pop has lots of different types of sub
genres of music which are all different and
unique in their own way which means they
will interest a lot of different people with
different choices of music in them sub genres.
Pop music has the largest target audience as
there is a wider variety of artists and music
composers.
