Our permanent displays showcase our Greek Culture, Traditions and
Orthodox Christian faith. In addition we put on special exhibits and conduct
activities in the gallery to immerse the senses.

Featured Greek culinary items, cooking utensils, cookbooks,
items unique to a Greek kitchen of yesteryear and

As a faithful supporter of Hellenes AHEPA Chapter 154 and D.O.P Troy
Chapter #32 were featured in the gallery with a display of artifacts and
presented their long and storied history in Portland.

Welcome to the Textiles of Greece. Many items shown were created for
bridal dowries (prika).

Embroidery, one of the most important forms of traditional Greek
handicraft, is beautifully evident in the handmade lace tablecloths.

This exhibit showed the deep devotion and love for family that is
so characteristic of Greek culture.

needlepoint workshop with participants coming from the broader
Portland community.

In 1965 her work was shown in the Hellenic American Union in
Athens and attracted the attention of the US Embassy.

At an early age on July 8, 1973 Peggy died from complications of pneumonia.
She donated her collection to HACCM and the means to maintain it.
