2. We are a diverse group of parents
who came together to connect, listen and grow
on the pressing topic of discrimination .
We want to prepare our children
to engage in a complex and always changing world.
We are driven by a desire to create change
within ourselves and within our community.
Who We Are
3. Why parents?
In 2020, TAS created JEDI,
a faculty led task force,
focused on making the issues of
justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion
educational priorities.
Parents are essential in helping their
children become informed global citizens.
We, as parents, want to organize opportunities
to participate in these important
and ongoing conversations.
4. We believe that the more we engage
in these conversations around our varied
experiences, cultural differences, and similarities,
the more we can work towards a mutual understanding.
That mutual understanding will lead to a stronger & more
connected community for ourselves and our children.
What do we believe?
5. This will be a small group coffee
where we will engage in guided and
open conversation on our experiences
and how we as parents can support the work of
justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
