FRABEMAR™ Srl MAIN FEATURES
History of the company
Frabemar™Srl was created in 1995 By Mr Franco Bernardini, who after more than 40 years of his carrier
passed in West African shipping has decided to begin this new challenge by putting into FRABEMAR™ all his
experience in West African logistics.
At the beginning Frabemar™Srl operated as Shipping Agency for various African National Shipping lines.
Then the company has increased its range of services in the international forwarding field and on the
Agency of various Shippers Councils. In order to adapt itself to the business evolution, FRABEMAR™ has
developed and operates its Trading Department - where in addition to the forwarding services it helps
customers to find suppliers throughout the globe, and its Chartering Department and has obtained in 2012
the ISO 9001 quality Certification.
In order to meet customers technological demand, the company has created an in house Technological
Department in order to maintain its services, procedures and tools at the hedge of technology and
specifically aimed at west African logistics. Last but not least, the Training Department has been operating
for two years now on technological and technical logistical fields. The company has adopted also its Ethic
Chart to which binds all Frabemar™Srl personnel.
Henceforth, the company has become a major player in the west African market of logistics.
Aside its business activities, the company has developed social projects in the educational field, in
particular with the rehabilitation of schools for the education of the youngest in African countries.
Mission and Activities of the Company
The interaction between nations all around the world, has always brought a transfer of goods and services
in different geographical areas. Frabemar™Srl mission regards services' provision for the optimization of
the supply, especially in the West African area.
Forwarding Department:
Shipping documentation
Import and export documentation is handled by this section of the company. Issuance of all documents,
customs (EX 1, Eur 1 …), shipping (BL, Goods receipt …) and others are supervised by specialised personnel
in order not to have any difficulty in the clearance process at destination.
Land haulage;
The sector takes care of all the logistic related to this operation. The optimisation is given by the
combination and integration of import and export traffics (round trips) in order to reduce as much as
possible empty haulage and the extensive use of multi modal (truck/Train) land haulage.
Cargo collection in large or small parcel is also operated by the company in order to consolidate or organise
pre shipment inspections. This activity is carried out throughout European Union countries.
Special haulages such as out of gage, dangerous goods … are also part of the catalogue of services given by
the company.

Warehousing
Our warehouses, located in various parts of the country allow us to store the goods in the time that is
needed for our customers. The goods consolidation is generally carried out in our warehouse in Genoa,
with a direct supervision of a qualified staff
Insurance
Cargo insurance is given as a broker of major insurance corporates, to customers who request the
insurance. Policies are of many types, All risks, FAPS …
Shipping Department
Air freight
Frabemar™Srl is also active on this way of transferring goods. The network of agencies spread on major
international airport is the base on which this service is carried out as time is very important when a
customer chose this type of transport.
Sea freight
Frabemar™Srl uses only first class shipping companies to ship its cargo. They are chosen considering
customer priorities, both in cost and quality (frequency and transit time) of the offered service.
Not having any shipping company of reference allows Frabemar™Srl to offer a wide range of services
namely, various POL for different POD in the requested transit time, taking into consideration the clients’
needs firstly. This fact guarantees the possibility to offer and carry out a full range of logistical services.
Services vary from container, general cargo, dangerous goods and any type of goods to be shipped by sea
Chartering
Frabemar™Srl Chartering Department aims at searching and managing M/V both in time charter and/or
lump sum chartering. The transported goods are mainly logs from West Africa in import and chemical
products in export.
International Trade Department
In addition to all logistics services, the company has created an International Trading Department aimed to
facilitate suppliers research throughout the globe giving to the final customer a unique reference for its
supply chain management (supply and forwarding) which simplifies all his import operations. In particular
venues, the department works on a door to door base.
Electronic Cargo Tracking Note
(L/C/BSC/CTN/ECTN/BESC/FERI/BIETC/Waivers)
Based on the experience gained by the company since its establishment, the variety of activities carried out
in the West African shipping field and the company’s reputation, Frabemar™Srl has been chosen by
different Shippers Councils for the management, issuance and validation of the so-called ECTN.
To date, Frabemar™Srl operates with the following Shippers Councils:
 OGEFREM – DR Congo
 CNCA – Angola
 CGC – Gabon
 CNUT – Niger
 CMC - Mali

Also, as service to shippers, in order to facilitate and assist them in the issuance and validation of LC,
Frabemar™Srl operates with the OIC (Ivory Coast) and Gasynet (Madagascar) systems.
Frabemar™Srl has developed a Web based application for the management, assistance to shippers and
shipping tracking specifically designed for West African logistics.
Technological Department
This Department has been created to meet Institutional customers demand and optimise internal
operations. The Department is very active on the development of Web Based applications designed to track
and trace cargoes and vessels, enhance paperless operations and collect shipping royalties. Main features
are the simplicity of interfaces, in order to be user friendly and light as to connexion speed for their use.
Services such as Web storage, hosting … are available. The know-how acquired by this Department is
regularly protected intellectually.
Consulting Department
Frabemar™Srl is a partner for various entities specialised in the West African logistical sector. Throughout
its activities, the company developed a network of senior consultant who can offer their services for any
matter concerning the logistic and shipping in West Africa.
Frabemar™Srl developed various studies on this sectors which have been used by institutions and
corporates for their decision making policies on specific projects.
The Technological department adds value to this activity as studies can be supported by custom made
electronic systems, capable of making the scenarios studies which allow a better decision making on major
investment programs.
Training Department
Various experiences in the African logistical sector, and with the view of transferring know how, we
developed professional training schemes for African logistics operators. Main features of these schemes are
the following:

Corporate organisation
In a general way, Frabemar™Srl started road map aimed at rationalising and optimising internal processes
in order to meet customer needs. For this reasons, the company applies and implements since 2012 a
quality based organisation structure and operations. Quality standards applied are UNI EN ISO 9001:2008.
Operations are carried customer focused and in order to prevent and manage claims or any difficulty that
may arise in the day to day operations, a specific quality function have been inserted in the Company. The
quality policies of the company are:
 Definition, knowledge and control of any service production given;
 Availability of resources to accept and carry out a service;
 Fixing Objectives for the quality by defining and continuously controlling defined indexes, in order
to reach the required performances;
 Evaluation of the available resources and forecast on future needs, in order to be prepared for new
opportunities;

 Training and personnel information are continuously given;
 In case of claim, the same is analysed and evaluated by a specific quality function, which updates
procedures so that the same claim does not arise in the future;
