quantities in excellent condition and on time, every time.

4 PL FREIGHT’s Vision is to be the market leader in the consolidation and conveyance of dangerous and goods
with the highest standards in South Africa whilst committing fully to Health, Safety and the Environment.
1995 – 2006
The company was established in 1995 as Transmart Brokers and Forwarding Agents cc. It became evident very
soon that there was an urgent need for a reliable express collection and delivery operator. “Transmart” seized
the opportunity and commenced an Overnight Road Express Service between Cape Town, Bloemfontein and
Johannesburg. This service became very popular as it gave clients the option between airfreight and a reliable
Overnight Road Express Service at a very affordable rate structure.
Reliability and Efficiency
All line haul vehicles are purchased new and operated under warranty for a period of two years. Before the
warranty expires, the vehicles are replaced ensuring reliability and consistency in service delivery. All vehicles
are fitted with long range tanks, satellite tracking and operated by two qualified drivers with a minimum of five
years long distance experience.
2006 – 2009
Early in 2006, a corporate logistics company bought 60 % of the business over a three-year period, which
ended in June 2009. During this time, service levels declined as a result of being part of the corporate
environment, the personal touch and contact with clients was just not the same anymore and the client’s
needs were often misinterpreted resulting in service failure and incorrect pricing.
2010 – 2015
Having established ourselves in the market place as a reliable Overnight Express Operator, known for good
communication levels with clients and delivering consistency on time, every time, we decided to re-enter the
arena and fill the gap for larger express freight consolidations up to 11 000 kg’s per truck. The big advantage
for clients is that we depart every night to both Johannesburg and Cape Town via Bloemfontein.
To optimise utilisation of vehicles, we also dispatch Normal Economy Freight on a daily basis and invariably this
freight also arrives at the end destination the next day, where it will be available for collection or delivery the
next day depending on the service type required.
Transmart enjoys the backing of 4PL.COM and the Mertech Group of companies as shareholders. This enables
us as a company to offer additional services other than those mentioned above and vice versa for the group.
2015 – 2016
During 2015 and keeping in line with providing “Customer Success”, Transmart saw an opportunity to supply is
vast client base with a much larger service providing and joined forces for another Group Company,
4PL FREIGHT.
4PL FEIGHT has more than two decades of extensive experience in the Logistics Industry and specializes in the
consolidation and conveyance of Dangerous Goods and General Cargo between Durban, Johannesburg, East
London, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. Driven by its motto to always be “ONE STEP AHEAD”, the company
understands the need to provide its customers with a superior and cost effective service in the conveyance
and warehousing of dangerous and hazardous goods throughout the country.
4PL FREIGHT’s priority is managing our clients risk as operational safety is an essential aspect of this industry
and this approach has earned the company an internationally recognized SQAS Certification (Safety, Quality
Assessment System) with a preferred status (only 147 companies in SA have such accreditation). Furthermore,
4PL FREIGHT has also achieved RTMS Accreditation (Road Transport Management System) of which there only
137 companies in SA with such accreditation.
4PL FREIGHT IS ONE OF ONLY 12 COMPANIES IN SA THAT HAVE BOTH SQAS AND RTMS.
Web based electronic waybills
True to its motto of ‘ONE STEP AHEAD”, 4PL FREIGHT has worked with Parcel Perfect to implement electronic
waybills for its customers. The electronic waybill is implemented seamlessly within the Transmart/4PL FREIGHT
website and forms part of the Parcel Perfect management system.
Customers can now log in and record their requirements directly on our website. This is a win win situation
where customers can enter their requirements directly and also view their work in progress. This provides
better transparency and service to our customers while at the same time reduces office administration which
in turn means we can devote more time to other aspects of our excellent customer service.
This expansion has now afforded Transmart/4PL FREIGHT the opportunity to offer our clients the following

Waybills / Proof of Delivery (POD)
Transmart/4PL FREIGHT have their own waybills in five parts and bound in a book format. These are supplied
free of charge. As this waybill is a legal document instructing as to where to deliver, to whom, quantities, by
when (service required) and mode of transport, our staff are not permitted to complete the waybill on your
behalf.
Important Points to Remember when Completing a Waybill
 Sender name, address and after hours telephone number (we load and de-bulk vehicles after you
have gone home, often we need to double check information). The sender must sign each waybill.
 Receiver name and address, contact details, dialing and postal code (to identify towns with the same
name).
 Number of pieces, brief description, dimensions in cm, and actual weight.
 Service type required. As we are predominantly an Express Operator, all waybills will be charged at
an Express Rate should the service type not be clearly marked.
 Transmart staff members must sign the waybill acknowledging receipt of goods.
Payment Terms
Strictly 30 days from date of Statement. Earlier payment (i.e. 7 days from Statement) may be considered
favourably and a rebate afforded to clients.

Zimbabwe and Zambia
The growing demand for an express freight solution into Zimbabwe and beyond has resulted in the initiation of
Transmart Africa (Trade Maniacs (Pvt) (Ltd) t/a Transmart Africa) – Into Africa.
With the experience and expertise of our class leading overnight road services throughout South Africa, we are
poised to provide a further fast, efficient and reliable service for all our dynamic export and supply chain
customers. With twenty years of experience and being the only
reliable express operator in South Africa between Johannesburg,
Bloemfontein and Cape Town we are confident that we can
expand our unique service to Harare and Bulawayo.
Transmart Africa provides a weekly, designated date of delivery to
depot/depot service to Zimbabwe and Zambia from Johannesburg.
This service is designed for break bulk consolidation of smaller
shipments. The cargo must be stackable cargo. For fragile non
stackable cargo feel free to contact us for quotes. Should clients
require door to door service, please advise us and obtain quotes.
With our partnership of internationally reputable clearing agent
and bona fide freight forwarding specialists in Zimbabwe, we are
able to commit to a smooth cross border movement of goods with
a specific day of delivery in these centers.
Customers can plan movement of goods around a specific date,
reduce and minimize stock holdings by operating on a just-in-time
delivery, reducing capital expenditure on stock holdings and
handling as well as freeing up valuable floor space. The service is ideal for rush orders of goods for small to
medium size business, lodges, hotels and larger corporate entities.
Our rates are highly competitive for a service that is essentially Express, with real-time delivery being as
efficient as some offered by airfreight, at less than half the price.
Whatever your cargo, if you as an exporter or importer require the confidence of due date delivery at
reasonable rates, our service will enhance your company target objectives in production and customer
satisfaction.
We welcome other logistics companies to utilize our services for urgent shipments as well as any overflow.
With new and frequently serviced Isuzu vehicles, two dedicated drivers, long range fuel tanks, cargo and
vehicle tracking and on–route back up services, you have service guarantee.

  • 2. 1995 – 2006 The company was established in 1995 as Transmart Brokers and Forwarding Agents cc. It became evident very soon that there was an urgent need for a reliable express collection and delivery operator. “Transmart” seized the opportunity and commenced an Overnight Road Express Service between Cape Town, Bloemfontein and Johannesburg. This service became very popular as it gave clients the option between airfreight and a reliable Overnight Road Express Service at a very affordable rate structure. Reliability and Efficiency All line haul vehicles are purchased new and operated under warranty for a period of two years. Before the warranty expires, the vehicles are replaced ensuring reliability and consistency in service delivery. All vehicles are fitted with long range tanks, satellite tracking and operated by two qualified drivers with a minimum of five years long distance experience. 2006 – 2009 Early in 2006, a corporate logistics company bought 60 % of the business over a three-year period, which ended in June 2009. During this time, service levels declined as a result of being part of the corporate environment, the personal touch and contact with clients was just not the same anymore and the client’s needs were often misinterpreted resulting in service failure and incorrect pricing. 2010 – 2015 Having established ourselves in the market place as a reliable Overnight Express Operator, known for good communication levels with clients and delivering consistency on time, every time, we decided to re-enter the arena and fill the gap for larger express freight consolidations up to 11 000 kg’s per truck. The big advantage for clients is that we depart every night to both Johannesburg and Cape Town via Bloemfontein. To optimise utilisation of vehicles, we also dispatch Normal Economy Freight on a daily basis and invariably this freight also arrives at the end destination the next day, where it will be available for collection or delivery the next day depending on the service type required. Transmart enjoys the backing of 4PL.COM and the Mertech Group of companies as shareholders. This enables us as a company to offer additional services other than those mentioned above and vice versa for the group.
  • 3. 2015 – 2016 During 2015 and keeping in line with providing “Customer Success”, Transmart saw an opportunity to supply is vast client base with a much larger service providing and joined forces for another Group Company, 4PL FREIGHT. 4PL FEIGHT has more than two decades of extensive experience in the Logistics Industry and specializes in the consolidation and conveyance of Dangerous Goods and General Cargo between Durban, Johannesburg, East London, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. Driven by its motto to always be “ONE STEP AHEAD”, the company understands the need to provide its customers with a superior and cost effective service in the conveyance and warehousing of dangerous and hazardous goods throughout the country. 4PL FREIGHT’s priority is managing our clients risk as operational safety is an essential aspect of this industry and this approach has earned the company an internationally recognized SQAS Certification (Safety, Quality Assessment System) with a preferred status (only 147 companies in SA have such accreditation). Furthermore, 4PL FREIGHT has also achieved RTMS Accreditation (Road Transport Management System) of which there only 137 companies in SA with such accreditation. 4PL FREIGHT IS ONE OF ONLY 12 COMPANIES IN SA THAT HAVE BOTH SQAS AND RTMS. Web based electronic waybills True to its motto of ‘ONE STEP AHEAD”, 4PL FREIGHT has worked with Parcel Perfect to implement electronic waybills for its customers. The electronic waybill is implemented seamlessly within the Transmart/4PL FREIGHT website and forms part of the Parcel Perfect management system. Customers can now log in and record their requirements directly on our website. This is a win win situation where customers can enter their requirements directly and also view their work in progress. This provides better transparency and service to our customers while at the same time reduces office administration which in turn means we can devote more time to other aspects of our excellent customer service.   • 4. Waybills / Proof of Delivery (POD) Transmart/4PL FREIGHT have their own waybills in five parts and bound in a book format. These are supplied free of charge. As this waybill is a legal document instructing as to where to deliver, to whom, quantities, by when (service required) and mode of transport, our staff are not permitted to complete the waybill on your behalf. Important Points to Remember when Completing a Waybill  Sender name, address and after hours telephone number (we load and de-bulk vehicles after you have gone home, often we need to double check information). The sender must sign each waybill.  Receiver name and address, contact details, dialing and postal code (to identify towns with the same name).  Number of pieces, brief description, dimensions in cm, and actual weight.  Service type required. As we are predominantly an Express Operator, all waybills will be charged at an Express Rate should the service type not be clearly marked.  Transmart staff members must sign the waybill acknowledging receipt of goods. Payment Terms Strictly 30 days from date of Statement. Earlier payment (i.e. 7 days from Statement) may be considered favourably and a rebate afforded to clients.

Transmart Africa Zimbabwe and Zambia The growing demand for an express freight solution into Zimbabwe and beyond has resulted in the initiation of Transmart Africa (Trade Maniacs (Pvt) (Ltd) t/a Transmart Africa) – Into Africa. With the experience and expertise of our class leading overnight road services throughout South Africa, we are poised to provide a further fast, efficient and reliable service for all our dynamic export and supply chain customers. With twenty years of experience and being the only reliable express operator in South Africa between Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Cape Town we are confident that we can expand our unique service to Harare and Bulawayo. Transmart Africa provides a weekly, designated date of delivery to depot/depot service to Zimbabwe and Zambia from Johannesburg. This service is designed for break bulk consolidation of smaller shipments. The cargo must be stackable cargo. For fragile non stackable cargo feel free to contact us for quotes. Should clients require door to door service, please advise us and obtain quotes. With our partnership of internationally reputable clearing agent and bona fide freight forwarding specialists in Zimbabwe, we are able to commit to a smooth cross border movement of goods with a specific day of delivery in these centers. Customers can plan movement of goods around a specific date, reduce and minimize stock holdings by operating on a just-in-time delivery, reducing capital expenditure on stock holdings and handling as well as freeing up valuable floor space. The service is ideal for rush orders of goods for small to medium size business, lodges, hotels and larger corporate entities. Our rates are highly competitive for a service that is essentially Express, with real-time delivery being as efficient as some offered by airfreight, at less than half the price.
