Operations Supervisor ( yard & vessel supervisor):
Working as a yard and vessel supervisor in the Terminal for 10 years.
SCCT is an Egyptian terminal opened in 2004 as a Joint Venture with APM Terminals the
majority shareholder and operator. In 12 years of operations SCCT have succeeded to handle
21,000 vessels with a total of 29.5 million TEUs produced. 50% of the total container traffic in
Egypt has used to go through SCCT.
Job Description:
1- Vessel Supervisor:
* Prepare Labors and equipment required to handle vessel operation.
*Lead the team to achieve targeted productivity and moves.
*Insure that all Quay Cranes working with highest productivity with lowest cost.
* All above must be with highest level of safety.
2-Yard Supervisor:
Major Accountabilities.
1  Pre Shift Preparation should be according to
the Shift Superintendent Instruction.
2  Liaise with and receiving/sending the
equipment to and from engineering as SOP

 Assist in solving all the yard operational
problem like :
1. Yard clashes.
2. Narrow Ranges.
3. Truck Traffic Jam.
4. Truck Re-plan.

 Ensure safe working environment is in place:
1. PPE is being worn all time.
2. Traffic rule/Priority to pass is
being followed.
3. Removal of all the obstacles that
prevents the work.

controller in the movement and the Gantry of
the container handling equipment to achieve
the maximum efficient utilization of the

reporting positive and negative feedback to
yard planning.

 To support the training department through
providing them with the requested equipment
for training according the agreement with SSI
and SM, And to recommend the best operators
to attach the new trainees with them.

is kept clean and tidy through regular visits to
the cabin and any defects to be updated on the
IFS system.
