• Act as a form of marketing
and branding
• Distinguishes between
channels and film.
• Gives the target audience an
idea of the type of film.
4. PARAMOUNT PICTURES
• Paramount pictures are well associated with the romance genre as they
have done a number of romance films including Titanic and How to loose a
guy in 10 days.
• The ident presents a relaxed and attractive image, appealing to all viewers,
but also setting the scene showing the audience the genre of the film.
• The font and stars around the writing are both attractive but also a good
indicator of the film genre.
5. WARNER BROTHERS
• Warner Brothers are well associated with the crime genre, including Focus and
The shawshank redemption both of which were very successful.
• The ident represents the crime genre well. Although it uses bright colours and
bold writing the clouds in the background may represent mystery with a happy
resolution- shown in the shawshank redemption and focus.
