2. Final Major Project
For my final major project I chose to do a concept environment, the genre will be
Science Fiction. I intend to create the final piece by drawing using pencil onto paper
and then scanning that drawing onto the computer and using Photoshop to colour and
edit it. I wanted my environment to resemble a futuristic urban landscape filled with tall
glass towers, busy roadways and large open parks. On the next several slides you will be
able to see some examples of artists and architects from who I have taken inspiration.

4. Adrian Smith (architect) – Adrian Smith, born on the 19th August 1944 is an American architect from
Chicago, Illinois. He has worked on some very well known projects including; Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Jin
Mao tower in Shanghai China and finally the Kingdom Tower which is still under construction in
Jordan and is set to become the tallest building in the world.

5. Norman Foster (architect) – Norman Foster, born on the 01 June 1935 is a British architect from
Stockport , United Kingdom. He has worked on many big projects some of which include; Reichstag
Building in Berlin Germany, Hearst Tower in Manhattan New York City and Wembley Stadium in
London England.

6. Al Crutchley (concept artist) – Al Crutchley is a British concept artist from Nottingham, United
Kingdom. He has worked with companies such as; Frontier Developments, Crytek and Psyop as a
freelance concept artist.

7. Sung Choi (concept artist) – Sung Choi is an American concept artist born in South Korea. He has
worked with the following companies over the years; One pixel brush, section studios and was a
teaching assistant at the Otis college of art and design.
