Why Glocal?
Glocal University is an exciting new development in the field of cross­disciplinary education. It was established by the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act,
2011 (UP Act no. 2 of 2012) and recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956. With a sprawling 300 acre campus, Glocal University is
gorgeously located in the foothills of the Shivalik range at Mirzapur Pole, Saharanpur which not only presents a picturesque view for all but also strategically
connects Glocal University with three states, namely Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.

International Features :
1. Academic Council and Industry Advisory Board :
We have an enviable Academic Council and Industry Advisory Board comprising of illustrious and experienced personalities from both the academia and
industry. The aforementioned committees do a useful handholding by monitoring the academic development (curriculum design, pedagogy, programme
structure, etc.) and keeping Glocal in sync with the latest international trends in the industry. Overall, we hope that their productive recommendations will
ensure that the gap between what is required in the employment sector and what is being taught at Glocal is minimized to the extent possible.
2. International Collaborations :
At Glocal we are keen to forge international collaborations with the best universities and faculty in the world for the development of curriculum and
programme structure. We therefore encourage international visiting faculty in all our schools, student exchange programmes for a cosmopolitan orientation
and ensure the continuous training and development of glocal faculty through international workshops, conferences and special courses. In 2014 Glocal
University organized the International Summer School in Bloemfontein (South Africa) in partnership with University of Free State (South Africa) and University
of Humanistic Studies (the Netherlands).
3. Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences :
Every student, irrespective of the school one belongs to, has to compulsorily take courses in humanities, languages (especially English) and social
sciences. This sharpens their interpretative and analytical skills and prepares them for a holistic understanding of life. The University boasts of well­equipped
language labs and interpreters in various foreign languages like French, Arabic, and so on.

4. Separate Hostel for International Students :
The Glocal University has a separate hostel for boys and girls. The hostels are spacious and well furnished. Each room is facilitated with centralized air
conditioning system, separate toilets/bathrooms and 24 hours electricity and water supply. The other facilities provided in the hostel rooms are wooden
single bed, study table and chair, cupboard with lock and key, room fans, tube light and CFL, etc. The dining facility is available in each hostel to provide
healthy, hygienic and sumptuous food. The cuisine is supervised by a well­experienced chef with an international exposure and expertise especially in West
Asian and African delicacies.
5. Events and Activities :
To make the stay of the students a pleasant one, they are constantly involved by organizing various celebrations, events and activities. Apart from this,
various clubs and forums work inside the residential facilities providing the students opportunities to develop certain skills in their fields of interest.
6. Safety and Security :
The university ensures the safety, security and discipline of the students in the residential facility through a dedicated team of security officers and
personnel. Division of Security at University ensures that proper decorum is maintained in the campus and assist students in case of any emergency.
