SIP Manual
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
FOR THE STUDENTS
 The students are instructed to undergo the training with proper discipline, punctuality and
in an ethical manner without disturbing the congenial environment of the industry.
 It is expected out of you to learn how practically things are carried out in a particular
department or organization. Things can be learnt practically by involving yourself in the
organization as if you are on the job trainee.
Your evaluations will be purely on the basis of your learning during 6 weeks training
programme. We are not expecting you to prepare any kind of theoretical project on
consumer satisfaction, perception, awareness etc, which is not going to improve your
practical exposure. But in case your training manager requires you to conduct any such
survey for the benefit of the organization then you can go ahead.
 Those who will be doing summer internship in Metro Politian (Which should not be the
home town) will be given 30 marks extra. Students doing training in Punjab and nearby
locations which should not be home town, they will get 20 extra bonus points.
 As soon as students join the company, have to send the scanned copy of offer letter to
college placement department at placements@pcte.edu.in
 All the students will work under the guidance of two mentors – one at company level and
other at college level. It is mandatory for every student to inform his/her college mentor
on weekly basis about his performance in internship through mail.
 During SIP, all the students have to work like company employee- their attendance will
be marked on daily basis, have to undertake any task assigned by company mentor.
 You have to update your performance on google sheet being sent by college every
fortnightly.
 If any student want to seek leave during this period, has to take due permission from
company and leave will be granted as per company policy and inform the same to college
mentor.
 Students are also supposed to maintain the daily diary in which they will be updating
their details about work on regular basis.
 They should bring back their Summer Internship certificate along with feedback form
duly signed by Company mentor.
 At the completion of summer Internship, students have to deliver presentation on same to
panel of college teachers. SIP will be evaluated on the basis of Routine feedback to
college mentor, Feedback from Company Mentor and presentation of SIP report.
 Understand that you all are the brand ambassador of the college, so must behave
accordingly.
In Presentation you all are expected to know and present following thing about the
industry & Company:
1. Global Scenario
2. Industry Scenario:
• Total Size of the Industry
• Growth Rate of the Industry
• Major/Dominant Players & their Popular Brands
• Future expectations of the industry
• Import & Export composition
3. Company Profile:
Introduction, Size, Growth rate, Major Product categories
Where it stands in comparison to its competitors
4. Learning’s & observations during the training
5. If any project according to requirement of the company has been done.
