Summer Internship Projects- PGDM Batch 2016-18
Instructions for Students
1. Confirm your respective Training Area, Sub-area and Project topic, with your Industry guide on
the first day you join the organization and communicate about the same to your Faculty guide.
2. Communicate the Name, Designation and Contact details of your Industry guide and other related
persons (HR Dept.) of the respective organizations, to your Faculty guide, on the same day you
join the internship.
3. Carry a Diary/notebook with you daily and note down the important points that may be of
knowledge and/or may be helpful in drafting of the Project report at later stage.
4. Carry the Daily report format and make sure it is filled daily as per the activities undertaken by
you in the whole day. The compiled Weekly report has to be sent to the respective Faculty guide
every Saturday.
5. Keep the contact details of the SIP In-charge and Faculty guide with you so that they could be
easily contacted when required.
6. Remember that the organization may assign you many tasks other than your project, so make sure
that you keep working on the drafting of your Report, as per the format provided by the Institute,
so that you are able to compile it on time.
7. Stay in touch with your Faculty guide whenever you need any guidance about the tasks been
allotted to you and for drafting of Project report.
8. Do not forget to collect your Summer Internship Training Certificate from the organization, on
the last official day of your Training. A copy of the same has to be inserted into your Project
Report. NO REPORT WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THE TRAINING CERTIFICATE. In
addition, the original Certificate has to be produced to the Assistant Dean, JIME, for verification.
9. The project report has to be submitted in the prescribed format, as provided by the Institute.
Every student will submit two copies of the Report to the Institute. A copy of the report has to be
submitted to the respective Industry guide also. The report has to be hard bound with Black
colour background on the cover. There shall be Viva-voce presentation of the SIP Report, the
date of which will be communicated later. The same will be in the form of Power point
presentation. There shall be marks for Report as well as Viva-Presentation.
10. Perform well as per the industry expectations. Remember that your performance in summer
internship training may bring you Pre-Placement offer from the same organization.
11. Carry your respective Id-Cards (JIME ID Card & Organization’s ID Card) daily while in the
Training organization.
12. Strictly obey the guidelines of the organization about their respective Safety Practices at the
Works place, like Safety shoes, Helmet, etc. Follow the formal corporate attire in your dress and
shoes. Casual Sandles/Chappals should never be worn by students at any circumstance.
13. No use of tobacco and alcoholic products in and around the organization.
14. Do not involve in Non Professional / Causal Gossips in the place of SIP with any one.
15. Do not discuss the confidential information about the organization, with anyone.
16. Be disciplined and follow professional etiquettes and manners while in your stay inside as well as
around the organization.
