3. Storyline: Our storyline consists of a maths tutor, who tutors
girls in his house, and keeps them locked in, then tortures
them. Later on in the story, one of the mothers goes looking
for the daughter, and starts to find out what has happened.
Actors: We chose the actor for the teacher to be of the
younger age, early 20’s. We used Hamid, as he looks older
than he is. This would attract that specific age group, as they
would be more attracted to it. We decided that I would be the
young girl who goes to the house, as the audience are then
able to relate to the actors, and would be more appealed.
Film style: Our film style is a psychological and tense
storyline.
Music: We included tension building appropriate music and
sounds. We included this in our film opening as it would help
to attract and appeal to the audience, as they're typical
conventions of thrillers.
HOW DID YOU ATTRACT THE AUDIENCE?
4. The age rating for our film opening is 15, meaning that
anyone aged 15 and above will be able to see the film.
However to be more accurate, the target audience will be
aged 15-40, simply because the actors in the opening has a
teen, meaning that the audience could relate to them.
When deciding our target audience, we had to look at what we
wanted to include, and how discrete we were going to be. We
settled on an age rating of 15, depending on the guide lines
from the BBFC.
We chose this age specifically, as the audiences are seen as
active producers, to make sense of media text, according to
their social position.
