As designers, our goal is to come up with the best user experiences possible, now and in the future. Therefore we might not care about ROI, at least not in the traditional sense. We are trained to think with empathy and spend time listening to our users, so how do we measure our success and justify the investment to our stakeholders? How do we find time between the day-to-day issues and current development work to do strategic thinking and innovation? We all know that companies that don’t innovate and don’t listen to their users don’t survive, but it is the UXer’s job to make sure we do so.
