She is a film director, screenwriter and producer.
She has directed a few of Katy Perry’s lyric videos such as “Roar” and
“Unconditionally” in 2013 and “Birthday” in 2014. The lyric video of
“Birthday” was nominated as the “Best Lyric Video” at the 2014 MTV VMA.
She has also directed short films such as Mobius (2011), U-2074 (2010) and
Mrs. Kim (2010) which was a finalist in Los Angeles Magazine’s Get L.A. short
film competition.
She won the People’s Choice award for Sweet-As in 2010.
She co-produced Kill of the Night which premiered at the Los Angeles Asian
Pacific Film Festival and later screened at the Lady Filmmakers Film Festival.

He has won many awards for his work such as Best Direction for Jay-Z’s “99
Problems”.
Romanek was given his first Grammy Award for Best Short Form Video in 1996
for “Scream” by Michael and Janet Jackson. The music video costed $7 million
to make and is regared as one of the most expensive music videos ever made.
He won his second Grammy with Janet Jackson’s “Got ‘Til It’s Gone”.
Two of his music videos “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails and “Bedtime Story” by
Madonna became a part of the permanent collection of the Museum of
Modern Art in New York City.

video he directed was “Dance This World Away” by Rick Springfield in
