Following a gap up opening tracking positive global cues, markets consolidated the gains and extended them further
post afternoon session before closing up with handsome gains of about 1%. Nifty after reconquering 5700, ended
marginally short of 5700. IT bellwether Wipro has delighted investors with its strong Q2 show and decent Q3 guidance.
During the day TCS replaced RIL to become most valued Indian company for a while. The position was reclaimed by
RIL later in the day. As per BSE data, the market cap (m-cap) of Tata Consultancy Services at the close was Rs.
260535.47 Crores whereas m-cap of Reliance Industries Limited stood at Rs. 261943.28 Crores. TCS stock closed
1.37% up on BSE. ONGC, ITC and Coal India occupied 3rd, 4th and 5th position respectively among companies with
highest m-cap.
Auto stocks continue to shine as Bajaj Auto made its fresh 52 week high at Rs. 1905 (BSE) after making highest ever
three wheeler monthly sales in month of October. It closed 2.90% up on BSE. Hero MotoCorp also surged 2.11% on
reporting 3.31% rise in October 2012 sales.
Under pressure from all quarters, Govt withdrew to the price hike decision on non-subsidized LPG cylinders by Rs.
26.5 which was announced yesterday by Petroleum Ministry. (News)

The BSE Mid-cap index moved up to 6645.45 and gained 0.36% while Small-cap index jumped up by 0.33% to
7064.38.
The broader BSE 500 index increased to 7220.81 (up 0.87%) and S&P CNX 500 index rose to 4510.25 (up 0.81%).
The volatility as denoted by INDIA VIX lost 2.98% at 13.66 from its previous close of 14.08 on Thursday.
