The Simple Yet Effective Layout and Colour Scheme of Jessie J's Article
1. The layout for this article is quite simple in that everything is neatly in its place, the first thing the reader will see is the, main image and then the title which is bold and prominent as it should be. The writing is written in columns and there is a constant colour scheme with the same font throughout baring the title and the first letter of the writing.
Colour scheme
The colour scheme is constant throughout the article, they stick to two simple colours orange and black, and one would associate these colours with Halloween, Halloween is a time in which people dress up, Jessie is very well known for dressing up and wearing her signature look which is her hair. Her dress scene is very unique making her different from other artists which is why she is a ‘rising superstar’. The orange isn’t a dull orange it pops out making it appealing to the eye. The colour of Jessi’s lips and blusher are the same colour of the orange used in the title, her lips just like the title pop out as does her blusher.
Front
The font doesn’t remain constant throughout the whole article, the front for the first part of the title is in serif, and the font is very sassy which goes well with Jessie’s attitude and her facial expression. The heading is written in a different font also this parts it from the rest of the article, suggesting that it’s important, and it is because it speaks highly of her and how far she has come. The font for the sub headings are written in capitals highlighting their importance and so that the audience can tell the different from the heading and the answers.

2. and she is comfortable with herself and her image. Her skin in the image is airbrushed making her look perfect but her fringe is in the way of her face making her seem not too much of a doll, young people aspire to her, and she portrays herself as ‘not perfect’ which is the image she tries to pull off. She is making direct contact with the audience implying that she is trying to connect with them, her facial expressions is very serious like she means business, she wants her new audience to understand that she is serious about being the in the music industry. Her make up isn’t too natural as she wants the audience to know that she is wearing make and that she is not perfect.
Second image
The second image is of Jessie j holding a brit award that she received in 2011 for her album, as she is a new artist she wants the audience to know that she is already receiving awards for her music even though she is an upcoming artist showing how she hasn’t come along way for nothing. Commonly at award shows women dress in downs and dresses but seeing as Jessie j is different she is wearing a jumpsuit like piece of clothing. Her clothing is very revealing suggesting that she is again comfortable wearing this kind of clothing, she has her signature look out again differentiating herself from others. Her clothing is all black, one would associate the colour black with something bad and this is the image she is trying to pull off as well the ‘bad ass’ and don’t care attitude. The main image and the second image go in contrast with each other, in the main image she sort of looks innocent whereas in the second image she looks like a ‘rebel’ this conveys both sides of Jessie, she can either be nice or mean.
