advertisements.

Candidate Number: 1107
Centre Number:
What is the product being advertised?
I have chosen to advertise Wireless festival for my inspiration as I think they use different
types of advertisements I could then analyse for my final products which will be a poster and
advert.
What are the Aims and Objectives you are trying to achieve?
Aims: The Wireless festival's aims are to create as many advertisements for the festival so
that it is known and popular to the public. They have included an appealing background on
the poster in order to catch their audience’s attention. Furthermore, they have also included
bright and bold colours such as dark pink, blue and purple in order to catch a younger
audience to their event. They plan to increase their sales by providing people with
advertisements at their best quality. Overall they plan to increase brand awareness in order to
make the festival known and popular.
Objectives: The festival’s objectives are to introduce people to the festival and hope they
will have a good experience; they plan to list every act that is performing onto the poster or
advert so they will have an understanding about what the festival is going to be like. They
plan to include an appealing
Target Audience
Maslow – for Maslow, the wireless poster would fit into the category of ‘Explorers’ because
the readers will experience different advertisements from the poster which would encourage
them to find out more information about the festival.
Katz –For Katz, the wireless poster would fit into the category of ‘personal identification’ as
it would relate to the readers because the information on the poster is mainly being produced
for young people, teenagers and young adults.
Hartley – For Hartley, the Target Audience for the wireless poster of 2016 would be aimed at
16-25 year olds as the poster has a colourful background that includes bright colours and bold
writing, meaning it is advertised at only young people and adults.
2. Psychographics –For psychographics, the poster would fit into the category of ‘Reformers’
because they use selected products for the quality from the layout of the poster and what is
included. The target audience would also be fitted into ‘Aspirers’ because it relates to
typically younger people who seek status, therefore they would enjoy the poster because It is
a popular festival that is well known to the public.
Socio-economic needs – According to the socio-economic graph, the target audience for the
wireless poster would fit into the category C because the target audience is aimed at mostly
older people and adults that share different interests in music. For Hartley, the poster would
be aimed at young people and adults that are interested in festivals. For class, the poster
would fit into the category of ‘young working students’ as it is targeted at young people that
have working jobs.
What is the campaign message?
For the Wireless festival from 2016, the campaign message to their audience would be to
make the most out of it by enjoying the music and how the festival is represented. The
festival think it is a good way for people to relax and enjoy the music as they are away from
the stress of work and it is also a way where they can escape reality. It arranges their festival
every august where they have used the summer theme in order to attract their audience.
Wireless have chosen to advertise the festival on a print based media product in order to
attract consumers, using bright colours and font fonts within the poster and advert. The title
of the poster is written in bold letters which catches the reader’s attention as they have used
the colour dark blue which will be the first thing the audience will notice about the poster and
advert. Furthermore, they have also included the artist’s names in bold colours as people will
recognise these acts because they are popular and known. On the wireless website, it provides
people with information about when it will start and where it will take place each year. It also
has different images from the festival from the previous years so the audience will know what
it is going to be like.
Style or approach
Sound wave will be constructed outside so the audience will be able to experience the
performances from each artist that is going to be featured at the festival. Sound wave will
include the colours pink, purple, blue and green in order advertise the festival overall. I have
chosen these colours because they relate to young people and adults which I have selected to
be the target audience.
The genre for the festival Sound wave will feature pop music, hip hop and rap in order to
attract different types of people to the event.
Content
Sound wave will include the artist’s names to feature on the print based advertisements so
people will know who they will expect to see. I will also include the dates of each day from
the festival so people will know when they will want to go. This will then attract more
audiences as if they wouldn’t make the first date, they could go on the other dates that have
been offered.
3. For the festival Sound wave, I am going to be including pictures from the festival so people
will have an understanding about what type of festival it is. I am also going to include the
artist’s names that are going to be featured at the festival; I will do this by highlighting and
making the font larger for the more popular artists so the audience will know who is more
important and popular at the festival.
