Workshop
Designing Wonderful
Learning Experiences for Students
21 March 2022
Fahri Karakas
Slide 1.2
Slide 1.3
 Educational systems are bureaucratic – they change slowly and
painfully.
 Textbooks getting obsolete as they prepare for a world which
no longer exists.
 We are still operating in an industrial paradigm (conformity,
mass production, one-size-fits-all, memorizing, exams, feeding
large spoons of content, etc.)
 There isn't much on offer for a curious entrepreneurial mind or
someone who yearns for something different.
 The future will reward people for their imagination, creativity,
passions, vision, entrepreneurship, assets, and compounding.
 We do not teach much about money (financial literacy),
personal finance, blockchain, and compounding.
Slide 1.4
 Gig economy is growing fast and freelancers will soon be half
of the workforce.
 We are going through an entrepreneurship revolution.
Everyone can start their own company with zero capital (with
just a laptop, cell phone, and Internet).
 Software has eaten the whole world. Everyone now is in
technology.
 Young individuals are compelled to have a half a dozen
careers now (employee, writer, podcaster, content creator,
YouTuber, entrepreneur, blogger, coach, artist, etc.)
 We live in an era of accelerated and tectonic change, which
means specialist perspectives are not adequate. We need to
act like renaissance people.
Slide 1.6
 AI Revolution is here: Our students will be working with
machines, robots, and algorithms in their careers.
 Climate change is threatening everything as we know it – and
business is the one area that can make radical &
transformational change.
 As machines will soon become employable, we need to
prioritize skills like creative thinking, innovation, emotional
intelligence, entrepreneurship, storytelling, and asset
creation.
 In our current system, students are not allowed to be wrong,
they are afraid to try out new things, and stand on their own
feet. Yet, students need to make lots of experiments and
mistakes to grow.

Nowadays we live a decade of events in a year
2020 felt like five years packed into one…
• Historic pandemic
• Historic social movement (Black Lives Matter)
• Historic stimulus
• Historic wildfires
• Historic election
• Historic stock market high
• Historic technology breakthroughs (Alphafold / GPT-3 /
Quantum Supremacy, etc)
- Michael Simmons
Slide 1.10
 After the PANDEMIC, I went through a mid-life crisis
 I became aware of my mortality
 Am I living the best life that I can live?
 Am I actualizing my full potential?
 Years of bitterness, missed opportunities
 Lack of joy, curiosity, & adventure in my academic life
 Feeling stuck in a rut
 Repeating myself in my classes – I am bored of
myself
 What if I had multiple lives that are more colourful,
adventurous, & entrepreneurial?

Slide 1.13
Slide 1.14
 I do not want to fit in the academic box anymore.
 I do not want to be only driven by academic goals,
deadlines, career progression, etc.
 I want to embarrass myself, fail lots of times, stop
taking myself too seriously
 I want to be a good role model for my students
 I want to establish my asset creation games for
the next 10 years
◦ Transformed my classes and made them more engaging
◦ Started writing on Medium and wrote 430 pieces as of now
◦ Became a YouTuber and created 500 Youtube videos
◦ Became a TikToker recently and created 80 TikTok videos
◦ Started writing new books
 If I die soon, at least I will be more content with
what I leave behind.
Slide 1.16
 I need to complete at least 10,000 experiments to create
my own renaissance.
 Be in conversation with my future self who lives in 2032.
 Start now and start small.
 Be extremely curious and learn beyond borders/disciplines.
 Astonish and scare yourself every day.
 Follow my excitements
 Act as an agent of positive change and transformation for
the future waiting us.

 Truth: Puzzles
◦ Instead of presenting knowledge, I turn it into a series of
puzzles
◦ A big dark chocolate for the student who guesses it first
◦ About 25 puzzles in 2 hours – each takes 1 minute.
◦ Stop force-feeding knowledge with large spoons
◦ Helps me to keep it fresh, exciting, and surprising for
myself and for students
Slide 1.19
 Dare: Challenges
◦ Individual or team-based challenges
◦ Short exercises
◦ Doodles
◦ Creativity
◦ Reflective writing
◦ Imagination experiments

Wearing the Hat of an
Artist
HERE IS A PUZZLE:
Last year, there has been a revolution in
digital art and NFTs. Whose NFT was sold
for 69 million dollars?
BEEPLE
Slide 1.24
◦ He promised himself to create digital art every day. He created
a futuristic image every day for 13.5 years.
◦ He created an image each day from May 1, 2007 through Jan. 7,
2021. He never broke the chain.
◦ This meant he created 5,000 daily futuristic images over 5000
days.
◦ He then combined all of these images into a jpeg file.
◦ He called this file: “Everydays: The First 5000 Days”
◦ This digital collage was sold as an NFT (non-fungible token) in
an online auction at Christie’s.
◦ How much was this NFT sold for? $69 million!
◦ What is the name of this artist? Beeple - Mike Winkelmann
Slide 1.26
“Creativity is no longer a luxury. It is
a critical survival skill that we need to
adapt to rapid changes, solve complex
problems, imagine new possibilities,
and navigate uncharted waters ahead
of us.”

Slide 1.28
 A) Please write a story using the following words:
◦ Pepper
◦ Fashion
◦ Journey
◦ Chaos
◦ Lawyer
◦ Bird
◦ Disgust
◦ Dancing
 B) Please illustrate this story. You can doodle or
draw in any way that you like. You can create a
storyboard or a comic story. Do as you wish!
Slide 1.29
 Imagine that you are given an 8th day every week. This day
will be your secret gift. However, this cannot be just another
day. You have to do something unusual or remarkable on
this day.
 A) Please design this day as your ideal day. How would you
make these 8th days memorable, creative, and full of
adventure? You can write or draw or doodle on this as you
wish.
 B) This will also be a day where you have an artist's date with
yourself (See Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way" to learn more
about this method). Fill your day with lots of inspiration. Get
inspiration from lots of sources. What could be some of
these sources? Brainstorm below. You can consider places,
people, films, books, artwork, travel, hobbies, theatre,
museums, cafes, nature, and more.
Slide 1.30
 A) Walk around the city of Norwich. You need your cell phone and
an attentive eye for this project. Pay attention to the doors of
Norwich. This project is all about doors:) Please find at least 12
different doors (of different styles, periods, colours etc.). Take
their photographs. Tag each or give each a creative title. Did you
learn new things that you have not realised before? What are they?
 B) Imagine that one of these doors open to your childhood. Go
down on your memory lane and find a sweet memory from your
childhood. Where were you? How old were you? What were you doing?
Were you alone or accompanied by others? Describe your memory with
all the details - make it vivid and rich. Write it down as a story.
Why did you choose this memory? Reflect on its significance for
you.
Slide 1.31
 Imagine that you come across yourself in a cafe in London. You
are shocked at first, but then you realize that this is YOU living in
an alternative universe. The other version of yourself invites you
for coffee. You will catch up and have a conversation about your
lives. You are intrigued.
 A) Please write a long and detailed description of the other you
living an alternative life.
◦ Where does s/he live? Imagine all the details - family, career, house,
friends, projects, travel etc. If you want to retain some (indispensible)
elements from your current life, that is fine. However, this must be a
different life. An alternative life that is exciting and full of more adventure
perhaps?
 B) Draw or doodle about your alternative life. You can design it
visually or come up with a concept map.
 C) Imagine the conversation you are having with your alternative
self. Write down that conversation.
Slide 1.32
 Imagine that you are transported to the year 2030. Write about
the world, organizations and work, your career, and your life in the year
2030. The more specific details, vision, and predictions, the better.
 A) The World: Trends, problems, shifts, technology, economy, global
agenda
 B) Organizations and Work: Business models, innovations, trends,
practices, strategy, HR
 C) Your Career: Where do you see yourself? Write about your career. What
are you doing? What have you achieved? What are the things that keep you
excited and engaged? Your position, responsibilities, contribution, successes,
passion projects etc. Imagine your typical workday. What does your workday
look like from start to finish? Dare to dream and aim high.
 D) Your Life: Imagine the details of your life (your house, family, friends,
lifestyle, habits, belongings, travels etc.) What does your life look like? What
makes you proud? Where are you living? Who are you living with? Do you have
children? Do you have pets? What kind of house are you in? Do you have a
car? What do you want?
 Dream big. Dream without fear. Put your whole heart into it.
Slide 1.33
You will write yourself two letters. You will imagine that you are 80
in the first letter. You will imagine that you are 8 in the second
letter.
A) The first letter: From your 80-year old self to your current self.
What words of advice and encouragement would this 80 year old,
wise, loving, content version of you, with the benefit of hindsight,
send to the you of today – what guidance would you offer yourself?
B) The second letter: From your 8-year old self to your current self.
•What would your child self tell your current self? Reminders?
Advice? Wisdom? Principles? What is important?

• A radical, how-to guide for using exponential technologies,
moonshot thinking, and crowd-powered tools to create
extraordinary wealth while also positively impacting the
lives of billions.

10 smart individual strategies to survive and thrive during
the disruptive 2020s:
• You need to develop your antifragility and preparedness for black swans.
• You need to learn to think differently by learning across disciplines,
applying mental models, and focusing on the long term.
• You need to develop new capabilities for dealing with FONKU — the fear
of not keeping up.
• You need to focus on using your own imagination every day.
• You need to take care of your brain and improve your learning habits.
• You need to forget the career ladder and start creating your own assets.
• You need to become a polymath (renaissance person) who learns and
innovates beyond borders.
• You need to make a commitment to create your own creative
assets and invest in your own creativity.
• You need to develop your inspirational capital by being curious and
passionate.
• You need to develop positive habits, systems, and assets to take control
of your own future.
My Thoughts for Going Forward
• Creativity and asset creation should be at the forefront of
our modules and teaching.
• How would Elon Musk, Richard Branson, Peter Diamandis,
or Oprah design our programs?
• Replace academic writing with practical skills and
innovative projects
• Focus on disruptive innovation and future skills
• Focus on skills that cannot be outsourced to machines,
robots, or algorithms (such as emotional intelligence)

He quit his job and decided to travel the
world. Every day, he created 1-minute

Hint: His videos end with
“That’s one minute, see you soon"
Nas Daily (Nuseir Yassin)
Nas Daily: 1000 Days of Video Creation!
HERE IS THE LESSON:
Seek out small victories. Small victories build new receptors
in the areas of the brain responsible for reward and
motivation. This increase in receptors enhances confidence
and eagerness to tackle challenges. When you achieve a
series of small victories, the boost in your confidence can last
for months.
Small and consistent actions/habits every day is key.
• Be consistent and disciplined – create
every day – do not break the chain.
• If you establish smart habits every day,
you will achieve a lot in the long run.
• Compound yourself (your skills,
knowledge, networks, and assets) over
the long term.
Don’t Bother Waiting For Inspiration.
It’s Not Coming.
• You need grit, struggle and urgency.
• The cold reality is that sometimes, it’s a real struggle to get your best work into the
world.
• That’s why so many of us admire great creators, artists and thinkers but so few of
us become one.
• If you wait to be inspired to do your best work, you’ll be waiting a long time.
• Waiting for inspiration is an amateur move. It’s not coming today.
• The solution: start the work now.
• Do it on the sunny days and the rainy days. Stop allowing yourself the excuse not to
create.
• Push through the uncomfortable stage
• Struggle actually leads to more inspiration
• You don’t get inspired, then do great work. You do great work, then get
inspired.

Failures of
Imagination

 Use the power of compounding
 Start saving and investing early.
 Your goal should be: BUILDING ASSETS. Income always follows
assets.
 There are two ways to having assets:
 1) If you have money, buy them (invest in them).
 2) If you do not have money, create them.
◦ What can you create?
◦ An e-book, an online course, your own fashion line, a song, a lifestyle brand, an online
business, a new product or service, a YouTube channel, artwork, patents etc.
Visualize where you
will be in 10 years
- I will create 2000 YouTube
videos in 10 years.
- I will write 2000 Medium
articles in 10 years.
- I will write at least 5 books
in 10 years.
- I will create at least 2
online training programs.
- I will create an asset
creation summer school
and hackathon.
- I will make at least 1
million$ in 10 years. I am
now writing myself a
check to this amount.

Your most crucial task is: Create your
own creative assets. Start now!
Use your Seven I or Entrep. project as
an opportunity to create your own
intellectual and creative assets.
Do not take yourself seriously. Take
your work seriously.
Do not be trapped by your ego – this
will make you mediocre.
You cannot learn and grow if you try
to be clever all the time. It is much
better to be naïve, hungry, foolish,
playful, and curious.

time) is the most precious thing in the world.
Life is not only about the next goal to be captured.
There is more to life than that. We are not
machines. We need adventures. Sometimes, you
need to relax, breathe, loosen up – just be.
What if you had quadruple lives – wouldn’t
this enrich you as a person?
“Curiosity does not kill the cat. The cat thrives
through curiosity.”
Fahri Karakas
Insights
Insights
 To solve wicked problems of the
21st century, you need to think
beyond borders and disciplines.
 Invest in yourself and your learning
every day. This is the biggest
investment you can ever make.
1) Ask Right Questions + Follow Your Interests +
Intense Curiosity + Continuous Learning +
Imagination + Passion
2) Courage: Take Risks + Consistent Small Actions +
Smart Moves + Hard Work + Play Your Game +
Resilience + Resourcefulness
 Think about where you will be after
10 years. Act according to that
vision.
 You can be as big as your dreams,
visions, and ambitions.
We can use improvisation to increase
adventure and quality in our teaching.
Automated writing, drawing, doodling,
story-telling, ideating, designing, creating
exercises/challenges
It is never too late to follow your interests,
curiosities, and passions.
Show up for creative work and use random
prompts or anchors to get going. Start
small – small is beautiful.
Business education as usual is over. We
need a new paradigm of business
education that solves complex problems
ahead of us.
Insights
We can go beyond functions/
departments, think bigger, and adopt a
curiosity-driven approach.
- Be a polymath: An individual whose
knowledge spans a significant number of
subjects, known to draw on complex
bodies of knowledge to solve specific
problems.
- Be an autodidact: A self-taught person
individual who initiates and manages
his/her own learning and reads voraciously
- Be a hunter and learner of most
interesting things. Cross boundaries –
there are no borders.
- Go out of your comfort zone. Learn
outside your discipline. Think and act
wider.
- Assume responsibility for own learning.

Workshop - Designing Wonderful Learning Experiences Updated.pptx

  • 1. Workshop Designing Wonderful Learning Experiences for Students 21 March 2022 Fahri Karakas
  • 3. Slide 1.3  Educational systems are bureaucratic – they change slowly and painfully.  Textbooks getting obsolete as they prepare for a world which no longer exists.  We are still operating in an industrial paradigm (conformity, mass production, one-size-fits-all, memorizing, exams, feeding large spoons of content, etc.)  There isn't much on offer for a curious entrepreneurial mind or someone who yearns for something different.  The future will reward people for their imagination, creativity, passions, vision, entrepreneurship, assets, and compounding.  We do not teach much about money (financial literacy), personal finance, blockchain, and compounding.
  • 4. Slide 1.4  Gig economy is growing fast and freelancers will soon be half of the workforce.  We are going through an entrepreneurship revolution. Everyone can start their own company with zero capital (with just a laptop, cell phone, and Internet).  Software has eaten the whole world. Everyone now is in technology.  Young individuals are compelled to have a half a dozen careers now (employee, writer, podcaster, content creator, YouTuber, entrepreneur, blogger, coach, artist, etc.)  We live in an era of accelerated and tectonic change, which means specialist perspectives are not adequate. We need to act like renaissance people.
  • 5.
  • 6. Slide 1.6  AI Revolution is here: Our students will be working with machines, robots, and algorithms in their careers.  Climate change is threatening everything as we know it – and business is the one area that can make radical & transformational change.  As machines will soon become employable, we need to prioritize skills like creative thinking, innovation, emotional intelligence, entrepreneurship, storytelling, and asset creation.  In our current system, students are not allowed to be wrong, they are afraid to try out new things, and stand on their own feet. Yet, students need to make lots of experiments and mistakes to grow.
  • 9. Nowadays we live a decade of events in a year 2020 felt like five years packed into one… • Historic pandemic • Historic social movement (Black Lives Matter) • Historic stimulus • Historic wildfires • Historic election • Historic stock market high • Historic technology breakthroughs (Alphafold / GPT-3 / Quantum Supremacy, etc) - Michael Simmons
  • 10. Slide 1.10  After the PANDEMIC, I went through a mid-life crisis  I became aware of my mortality  Am I living the best life that I can live?  Am I actualizing my full potential?  Years of bitterness, missed opportunities  Lack of joy, curiosity, & adventure in my academic life  Feeling stuck in a rut  Repeating myself in my classes – I am bored of myself  What if I had multiple lives that are more colourful, adventurous, & entrepreneurial?
  • 12.
  • 14. Slide 1.14  I do not want to fit in the academic box anymore.  I do not want to be only driven by academic goals, deadlines, career progression, etc.  I want to embarrass myself, fail lots of times, stop taking myself too seriously  I want to be a good role model for my students  I want to establish my asset creation games for the next 10 years ◦ Transformed my classes and made them more engaging ◦ Started writing on Medium and wrote 430 pieces as of now ◦ Became a YouTuber and created 500 Youtube videos ◦ Became a TikToker recently and created 80 TikTok videos ◦ Started writing new books  If I die soon, at least I will be more content with what I leave behind.
  • 15.
  • 16. Slide 1.16  I need to complete at least 10,000 experiments to create my own renaissance.  Be in conversation with my future self who lives in 2032.  Start now and start small.  Be extremely curious and learn beyond borders/disciplines.  Astonish and scare yourself every day.  Follow my excitements  Act as an agent of positive change and transformation for the future waiting us.
  • 18. Slide 1.18  Truth: Puzzles ◦ Instead of presenting knowledge, I turn it into a series of puzzles ◦ A big dark chocolate for the student who guesses it first ◦ About 25 puzzles in 2 hours – each takes 1 minute. ◦ Stop force-feeding knowledge with large spoons ◦ Helps me to keep it fresh, exciting, and surprising for myself and for students
  • 19. Slide 1.19  Dare: Challenges ◦ Individual or team-based challenges ◦ Short exercises ◦ Doodles ◦ Creativity ◦ Reflective writing ◦ Imagination experiments
  • 21. Slide 1.21 Wearing the Hat of an Artist
  • 22. HERE IS A PUZZLE: Last year, there has been a revolution in digital art and NFTs. Whose NFT was sold for 69 million dollars? BEEPLE
  • 23.
  • 24. Slide 1.24 ◦ He promised himself to create digital art every day. He created a futuristic image every day for 13.5 years. ◦ He created an image each day from May 1, 2007 through Jan. 7, 2021. He never broke the chain. ◦ This meant he created 5,000 daily futuristic images over 5000 days. ◦ He then combined all of these images into a jpeg file. ◦ He called this file: “Everydays: The First 5000 Days” ◦ This digital collage was sold as an NFT (non-fungible token) in an online auction at Christie’s. ◦ How much was this NFT sold for? $69 million! ◦ What is the name of this artist? Beeple - Mike Winkelmann
  • 25.
  • 26. Slide 1.26 “Creativity is no longer a luxury. It is a critical survival skill that we need to adapt to rapid changes, solve complex problems, imagine new possibilities, and navigate uncharted waters ahead of us.” Fahri Karakas
  • 28. Slide 1.28  A) Please write a story using the following words: ◦ Pepper ◦ Fashion ◦ Journey ◦ Chaos ◦ Lawyer ◦ Bird ◦ Disgust ◦ Dancing  B) Please illustrate this story. You can doodle or draw in any way that you like. You can create a storyboard or a comic story. Do as you wish!
  • 29. Slide 1.29  Imagine that you are given an 8th day every week. This day will be your secret gift. However, this cannot be just another day. You have to do something unusual or remarkable on this day.  A) Please design this day as your ideal day. How would you make these 8th days memorable, creative, and full of adventure? You can write or draw or doodle on this as you wish.  B) This will also be a day where you have an artist's date with yourself (See Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way" to learn more about this method). Fill your day with lots of inspiration. Get inspiration from lots of sources. What could be some of these sources? Brainstorm below. You can consider places, people, films, books, artwork, travel, hobbies, theatre, museums, cafes, nature, and more.
  • 30. Slide 1.30  A) Walk around the city of Norwich. You need your cell phone and an attentive eye for this project. Pay attention to the doors of Norwich. This project is all about doors:) Please find at least 12 different doors (of different styles, periods, colours etc.). Take their photographs. Tag each or give each a creative title. Did you learn new things that you have not realised before? What are they?  B) Imagine that one of these doors open to your childhood. Go down on your memory lane and find a sweet memory from your childhood. Where were you? How old were you? What were you doing? Were you alone or accompanied by others? Describe your memory with all the details - make it vivid and rich. Write it down as a story. Why did you choose this memory? Reflect on its significance for you.
  • 31. Slide 1.31  Imagine that you come across yourself in a cafe in London. You are shocked at first, but then you realize that this is YOU living in an alternative universe. The other version of yourself invites you for coffee. You will catch up and have a conversation about your lives. You are intrigued.  A) Please write a long and detailed description of the other you living an alternative life. ◦ Where does s/he live? Imagine all the details - family, career, house, friends, projects, travel etc. If you want to retain some (indispensible) elements from your current life, that is fine. However, this must be a different life. An alternative life that is exciting and full of more adventure perhaps?  B) Draw or doodle about your alternative life. You can design it visually or come up with a concept map.  C) Imagine the conversation you are having with your alternative self. Write down that conversation.
  • 32. Slide 1.32  Imagine that you are transported to the year 2030. Write about the world, organizations and work, your career, and your life in the year 2030. The more specific details, vision, and predictions, the better.  A) The World: Trends, problems, shifts, technology, economy, global agenda  B) Organizations and Work: Business models, innovations, trends, practices, strategy, HR  C) Your Career: Where do you see yourself? Write about your career. What are you doing? What have you achieved? What are the things that keep you excited and engaged? Your position, responsibilities, contribution, successes, passion projects etc. Imagine your typical workday. What does your workday look like from start to finish? Dare to dream and aim high.  D) Your Life: Imagine the details of your life (your house, family, friends, lifestyle, habits, belongings, travels etc.) What does your life look like? What makes you proud? Where are you living? Who are you living with? Do you have children? Do you have pets? What kind of house are you in? Do you have a car? What do you want?  Dream big. Dream without fear. Put your whole heart into it.
  • 33. Slide 1.33 You will write yourself two letters. You will imagine that you are 80 in the first letter. You will imagine that you are 8 in the second letter. A) The first letter: From your 80-year old self to your current self. What words of advice and encouragement would this 80 year old, wise, loving, content version of you, with the benefit of hindsight, send to the you of today – what guidance would you offer yourself? B) The second letter: From your 8-year old self to your current self. •What would your child self tell your current self? Reminders? Advice? Wisdom? Principles? What is important?

  • 110.
  • 111. Slide 1.111 10 smart individual strategies to survive and thrive during the disruptive 2020s: • You need to develop your antifragility and preparedness for black swans. • You need to learn to think differently by learning across disciplines, applying mental models, and focusing on the long term. • You need to develop new capabilities for dealing with FONKU — the fear of not keeping up. • You need to focus on using your own imagination every day. • You need to take care of your brain and improve your learning habits. • You need to forget the career ladder and start creating your own assets. • You need to become a polymath (renaissance person) who learns and innovates beyond borders. • You need to make a commitment to create your own creative assets and invest in your own creativity. • You need to develop your inspirational capital by being curious and passionate. • You need to develop positive habits, systems, and assets to take control of your own future.
  • 112. My Thoughts for Going Forward • Creativity and asset creation should be at the forefront of our modules and teaching. • How would Elon Musk, Richard Branson, Peter Diamandis, or Oprah design our programs? • Replace academic writing with practical skills and innovative projects • Focus on disruptive innovation and future skills • Focus on skills that cannot be outsourced to machines, robots, or algorithms (such as emotional intelligence)

  • 119. HERE IS A PUZZLE: He quit his job and decided to travel the world. Every day, he created 1-minute travel/inspiration videos on Facebook. He did this for 1000 days non-stop. Who is he? Hint: His videos end with “That’s one minute, see you soon" Nas Daily (Nuseir Yassin)
  • 120. Nas Daily: 1000 Days of Video Creation!
  • 121. HERE IS THE LESSON: Seek out small victories. Small victories build new receptors in the areas of the brain responsible for reward and motivation. This increase in receptors enhances confidence and eagerness to tackle challenges. When you achieve a series of small victories, the boost in your confidence can last for months. Small and consistent actions/habits every day is key. • Be consistent and disciplined – create every day – do not break the chain. • If you establish smart habits every day, you will achieve a lot in the long run. • Compound yourself (your skills, knowledge, networks, and assets) over the long term.
  • 122. Don’t Bother Waiting For Inspiration. It’s Not Coming. • You need grit, struggle and urgency. • The cold reality is that sometimes, it’s a real struggle to get your best work into the world. • That’s why so many of us admire great creators, artists and thinkers but so few of us become one. • If you wait to be inspired to do your best work, you’ll be waiting a long time. • Waiting for inspiration is an amateur move. It’s not coming today. • The solution: start the work now. • Do it on the sunny days and the rainy days. Stop allowing yourself the excuse not to create. • Push through the uncomfortable stage • Struggle actually leads to more inspiration • You don’t get inspired, then do great work. You do great work, then get inspired.
  • 124. Slide 1.124  Use the power of compounding  Start saving and investing early.  Your goal should be: BUILDING ASSETS. Income always follows assets.  There are two ways to having assets:  1) If you have money, buy them (invest in them).  2) If you do not have money, create them. ◦ What can you create? ◦ An e-book, an online course, your own fashion line, a song, a lifestyle brand, an online business, a new product or service, a YouTube channel, artwork, patents etc.
  • 125.
  • 126. Visualize where you will be in 10 years - I will create 2000 YouTube videos in 10 years. - I will write 2000 Medium articles in 10 years. - I will write at least 5 books in 10 years. - I will create at least 2 online training programs. - I will create an asset creation summer school and hackathon. - I will make at least 1 million$ in 10 years. I am now writing myself a check to this amount.

  • 138. Your most crucial task is: Create your own creative assets. Start now! Use your Seven I or Entrep. project as an opportunity to create your own intellectual and creative assets. Do not take yourself seriously. Take your work seriously. Do not be trapped by your ego – this will make you mediocre. You cannot learn and grow if you try to be clever all the time. It is much better to be naïve, hungry, foolish, playful, and curious. Insights
  • 139. Insights You need to live exponentially and avoid mediocrity. Life is short and you are the hero. Make a difference. Being part of something large feels good. We are a community of learners & experimenters. Create your own category and be the owner of that category. Surprises, adventures, puzzles, exciting ventures, new projects, artistic pursuits are good for your health.
