Extreme MMA has developed into the MMA capital of
Australia, with Headquarters in Chadstone and another
state-of-the-art academy in Byron Bay (NSW). Our
academies stand as one-stop comprehensive training
destinations for both beginners and seasoned competitors

As an organisation, our aim is to make world-class
coaching readily available to the community at large,
extending beyond aspiring competitors/professionals to
beginners and the everyday person wanting to get fit or
learn a new skill.

3. Our Acadamies

Byron Bay Academy
A fully decked out strength and conditioning area
complements its spacious training mats and UFC-style
MMA cage. With a kids play area, in-house treatment
rooms, comfortable lounge and juice bar/ café all under
one roof, it is the premiere training facility in New South
Wales.

Chadstone Academy
Equipped with a total of four state-of-the-art training areas,
it provides access to over 50 classes a week and even
hosts rugby team Melbourne Storms’ tackling training
sessions. Other special guests who have taught on these
mats include UFC legends Randy “The Natural” Couture
and “Suga” Rashad Evans.

5. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
At Extreme, a typical BJJ class will start with warm-up
exercises, then grappling techniques and drills, followed by
light sparring. You will learn self-defence skills on the ground
as well as develop fitness, flexibility and agility. Be warned –
it’s addictive!

6. Boxing
At Extreme MMA, you can train like a professional in a
controlled environment. Our Melbourne’s Boxing classes focus
on cardio and technique, making it a top pick for those who
aim to improve their fitness and sculpt the arms and abs.

7. Thai Boxing / Kickboxing
At Extreme, our professional coaches and fighters will help
you to achieve your goals, whether you are simply looking to
learn self-defence and improve your cardio fitness, or to
develop striking techniques to complement the stand-up
aspect of your kickboxing MMA training regime.

8. Wrestlin

Extreme MMA is currently the only academy in Australia that
offers a full Wrestling program which runs six days a week. A
typical Wrestling class will teach you skills in balance, base
and all aspects of the takedown and takedown defence.

Extreme has MMA classes for the athlete who wants to build
an all-rounded skill set, as well as the everyday person
seeking an effective, intense workout or a new challenging
hobby.

10. Kids’ Programs
Extreme offers 3 Kid’s Programs – Wrestling, the X-Kids’
Program, which is based on the discipline of Brazilian Jiu-
Jitsu, and the Mini Tigers Program, which is based on Thai
Boxing.
