1. Along with my music video and
digipak I am going to make a
magazine article for Katy
Perry, so I did some research
into previous ones of hers and
looked into what the insert was
about, the layout, colours etc. So
I know what to include when it
comes to making my own one.

2. This magazine insert is make
up and beauty tips and what
her make up artist uses on
her. The image shows the
products and herself and is
also laid out in quite a
modern style with the writing
and tips of how to apply the
make up wrote around the
edges and underneath the
photo. By showing people
how to get her look/ style
suggests she’s a fashion icon
and that a lot of people wish
they looked like her or
wanted to be her, again
relating back to the idea of
ideology.

3. Here Katy is being
portrayed as a style
icon showing that
she is fashionable
and giving her fans
or people that
admire her fashion
sense the
opportunity of
where they can buy
her dress or what
accessories go with
it. By having her be
portrayed as a
fashion icon or
someone pretty
showing make up
tips makes people
think they want to
be like her and look
like her.

4. Here is an interview she has done
for a magazine company which
includes a mid shot containing the
majority of her figure to people
and also in very trendy clothing
showing Katy to be fashionable.
These are all aspects we will have
to consider and include within our
own magazine article.

5. This is also an interview that Katy Perry does for a magazine cover, taking all of these into
consideration and analysing and comparing what they do (make her look fashionable and like a
style icon) will help us to make our magazine article look similar to her style/ image.
