15. Four (4) Kinds of Sentences
1. Declarative sentence states an
information or statement about
something. It begins with a capital
letter and ends with a period (.).
Example:
The soldiers fought for our
country.

2. Interrogative sentence is called an
asking sentence. It asks information
or statement about something. It
begins with a capital letter and ends
with a question mark (?).
Example:
When is your birthday?

3. Imperative sentence asks someone to
do something. It begins with a capital
letter and ends with a period (.) or
exclamation point (!).
Example:
• Kindly remove your shoes before
entering the room.
• Hold on tight!

4. Exclamatory sentence expresses
strong feelings. It begins with a
capital letter and ends with an
exclamation point (!).
Example:
Mother! The child has a fever.
