Read, analyze then solve.
1. Marie shared 1/4 slice of a cake to her friend. Her sister shared 3/8 slice of a cake
with her friends. How many slices of cakes did they share altogether?
2. Lando cut a bamboo stick which was 5/6 metre long. He used ¾ metre for a garden
peg. How many metre of bamboo stick was left?
IV. Evaluation
A. Solve for N.
1. 3/4 + 1/3 = N 2. 4/5 - 2/3 = N
B. Read, analyze then solve.
3. Tootsie spent 3/10 of an hour sweeping the yard and 2/5 of an hour watering the plants.
How long did she work?
4. Aling Mila cooked 8/10 kilogram of spaghetti. She gave 2/5 kilogram to her neighbors.
