Looking back at
your preliminary
task, what do
you feel you
have learnt in
the progression
from it to the full
project?

2. Using software
Since I produced my preliminary task the
way I use Adobe Photoshop has improved
greatly as I now know how to use all the
things Photoshop has to offer to a good
standard. My improvement is obvious by
the difference between them both
magazines.

3. Photography
From my preliminary task images to my
music magazine pictures it is clear that my
photography images have improved.
Taking the images for my music magazine
had more variation as I tried different
angles and poses and put great thought
into my mis en scene by planning my
location, costume, makeup etc. Whereas in
my preliminary task I did not plan everything
as well as I could of.

4. Layout
Before I started producing my preliminary
task I did not have much knowledge of
what a magazine should look like and what
conventions should be used. Throughout
the producing of my music magazine my
understanding of conventions and codes
where much bigger as you can see if you
compare my two pieces.

In conclusion I think that the difference
between my preliminary and my main task
is:
 Developed skills with Adobe Photoshop
 Composition of images
 Use of conventions and codes
 Time management has improved
 Planning of mis en scene
