Solving Immigration
In recent years the issue of immigration has captured the attention of people across the
nation. Some people believe that the laws we currently have for immigration are fine; however,
the United States needs to step back and reevaluate how to solve the immigration issue. Our
country is a melting pot of different races and cultures. Without immigration the United States
would not be where it is today.
To solve immigration we need to closely evaluate those who are coming into the country.
We need to let those who are coming for a better life to enter freely. If they are willing to come
here and work, to learn, to marry, or to just get away from the dangers of other countries we
should not deny the right of their freedom just because “they’re taking America’s jobs” yet the
jobs they take are the ones most Americans would never take.
Although we need to let immigrants in we also need to monitor the different types of
people that are coming in the country. For instance it would be a poor idea to let a serial killer
from Russia come to the United States to work and live. While letting those who come to our
country to seek freedom, we also need to avoid the possibility of letting terrorists, drug lords, or
any other person that could extremely harm us enter into our country.
Overall, our country needs to stop denying those immigrants who are coming here to live
a better life. We need to monitor those who enter the United States to prevent our country from
becoming unsafe, but denying a person the opportunity to live here is wrong because our country
2. is not just one culture. We are many and by denying the people of different cultures enter our
country we are denying our opportunity to learn more and to make our country a more diverse
place to live and grow.
